Comfort after skiing
The arrival instructions had incorrect directions to the property--they were inconsistent with the property address. A call to Grand Welcome beforehand resolved the issue: using the address we arrived without difficulty. We needed 4WD to get into the driveway because it had about a foot of ice/snow. We were advised beforehand of the need for 4WD. There was some ice on the wood steps to the front porch that required some care. A nice addition would be a heavy throw rug near the front door--a place to remove snowy boots, to keep the carpet dry.
All that aside, we very much enjoyed our stay at "Relax Inn". The free-standing thermostat-controlled gas "fireplace" warmed the whole house, and made the living room quite pleasant. We did not need to activate the upstairs electric baseboard heaters. The beds were comfortable and had adequately warm covers.
Everything was clean. The kitchen was well equipped (though a silicone spatula would have been handy). The dishwasher looked very new, and was very quiet. There were a goodly number of very nice plates, bowls, and glasses, and plenty of silverware.
The WiFi was good. There is a La Crosse home weather station that helped us prepare for our outings--to very nearby Tahoe Donner Cross Country.
All of us agree that we would like to stay at this property again.
