Awesome property. As advertised. Close to I-85, so if you need to go to Reno or a quick store stop all is within driving distance. But the property is nicely secluded. I would recommend and would stay there again. Great views too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was perfect, offering easy access to Donner Lake, Truckee, and several river access points.The house was clean, well-maintained, and the high-quality linens and comfortable beds provided an excellent night's rest. We especially loved the beautiful views from the deck, which became our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The well-stocked kitchen also made it very easy for us to cook and BBQ.We had a great time playing pool, listening to music, and streaming movies in the game room. The owner was responsive and helpful whenever I had a question.We would absolutely book this home again

We loved our time at the Truckee River House! It's a gorgeous house and setting, with everything provided for an amazing stay. Check in and check out was extremely easy, kitchen well stocked, and communication with host was awesome and with a quick response time. We were in the Truckee area for my son's wedding, and it was super close to the venue and made it easy to go back and forth. We even did the 'first look' photos there with the gorgeous views off the back deck. It was super hot this weekend, and even with all the provided fans (lifesavers!) with no AC (as in most mountain houses), it got toasty and a bit hard to fall asleep upstairs, but just saying this so you can bring extra fans if you go during a hot time and remember to keep windows open at night to let the cool night mountain air in. It still was super awesome and I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Great family vacation

We very much enjoyed our family vacation at the cabin on the Truckee river. The cabin is spacious and beautiful. The views are phenomenal. The entire family had an outstanding time.

Loved the view and seclusion

My family enjoyed the house with the pool table and being able to walk down to the river. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views from the deck. Great place to stay.

Nice Home on the River

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It is nicely appointed, and the views of the river are great. It does take a bit to get to the river, but there is a trail with just as little bushwhacking needed. Overall a great stay.

Great home in a quiet location but close enough to enjoy all Truckee has to offer. Beautiful view on the river and the house has plenty of room. Definately will come again and get some more fishing tips!!

Perfect spot on the river

Beautiful views and river access! The downstairs was perfect for our college kids & friends, while we enjoyed the upstairs space. The neighbors are very nice and the owner is super responsive to any questions. Great place!

Fantasy football league annual trip

Every year our fantasy football league 11 guys get together and get a cabin in Truckee and this cabin was amazing to say the least had an awesome location right next to the river for fishing

Beautiful House for Multiple Familiea

We enjoyed our stay very much! The view of the river was beautiful and there were plenty of chairs on the deck and down stairs to enjoy it. The layout of the house made it perfect for our mult-family stay. The directions and labels throughout the house made it very accommodating and easy to use (technology, heat/air, etc). This house is perfect if you’re looking for a serene get away with your family!

Great getaway

Great place to get away and relax, close enough to Reno, but far enough away to feel out of the city. Great setup with rooms and common areas, and the furniture and built-ins are a perfect aesthetic. The separate bar area downstairs is a great way to be able to separate groups if needed. A great property overall.

Perfect Weekend Getaway in Truckee

We had a fantastic long weekend in Truckee! The house was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The neighborhood was peaceful, and the views were stunning. It was also conveniently located just a 30-minute drive to Reno, where we attended a UNR commencement and caught a baseball game. Highly recommend this rental for a relaxing getaway.

Family Reunion

A wonderful house with a great location. The view from the deck of the river and mountains was breathtaking. There was a trail to the river (challenging for an 80 year old) that was fun for dipping and fly fishing. The kitchen was well equipped and our meals on the deck were great.

Perfect for our intimate Ceremony

Riaz was very easy to communicate and quick to respond. The property was absolutely beautiful between the house features and the outdoor views. We’ve discussed coming back to this property for future get togethers. Highly recommend for families, celebrations or intimate weekends!

Outstanding property with everything needed for an amazing week long stay over Christmas. We enjoyed this property with our adult kids and and some of our grandkids. The house was very well appointed with everything needed to enjoy our time there. The house had a phenomenal view of the Truckee River behind the house and very convenient to the 80 freeway without knowing it was just minutes away. Everything needed to cook a few of our meals was there. All nice quality as well. The bedding was extremely comfortable providing great nights sleep for all. The owner was very responsive to a few questions ahead of our stay as well as after we got there. We already looked into some dates in the summer to book another visit. After staying at multiple VRBO properties in the U.S. we found one of our favorites here.
