Very cool innkeepers and a nice stay! My only recommendations would be a vending machine for soda/water and a hairdryer in the room would have been nice. If there was one and I missed it, my apologies!

Good budget hotel

Very comfortable and clean budget accomodation with friendly management. My only reservation is the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. The windows cannot be opened and there's no exhaust fan. Other than that, a great experience.

The place was clean and staff was friendly. The amenities were low-budget for a $100 room. Cheap, loud window ac unit. Polyester sheets and bedding. This is a bare-bones motel room. They do take dogs and I think that's what people like about it.

The Desert View rooms $ property were very well kept and extremely clean. Check In was very efficient and all questions answered. The only reason for not giving a 5 star review was due to our discomfort from the mattress. We feel that a comfortable mattress is so important to ensure a good night rest after a full day of travel and to ensure that the next day starts off well. Our mattress was too “ springy” for our best sleep. We do recognize that mattresses are subject to individual comfort.

If you’re looking for a chocolate on your pillow and turn down service at night- this isn’t your place. If you love ( like us) fun, funky clean rooms then definitely try this hotel.

If you are tired of corporate "nice"--if you are tired of giving your money to companies who overcharge you and then hire pretty much anyone to staff their hotels--you will LOVE the Desert View Inn. Decision makes are on site. They are genuinely dog friendly and people-friendly, too. My room was spotless, and the view from the hill was spectacular. Everything worked--everything, TV, microwave, refrigerator, lights--they even had real coffee cups to go with the convenient coffee maker. There are tables chairs, trees, flowers outside where people can sit out and enjoy the mountains and the night air. The motel is close to many popular local venues. The room rate is very reasonable. This place is a gem! Thank you to the staff for being so genuine, so kind, so efficient. No corporate QM plan will ever compete with what you have going.

Nothing nice to say…

Can’t say much that is positive about this place. The furnishings were cheap and tacky, with poor lighting.The beds were old-school (noisy spring mattress) with funky bed linens. (We wondered what was on those nasty bedspreads?!) The small refrigerator's freezer needed defrosting. The ceiling fans needed cleaning and one of them had only 2 settings: off or high speed. Thankfully, the AC worked well, although it was rather loud. Our room had a code lock on the door, that we didn’t trust- with no inside security lock. Oh, there were also lots of bugs in the room!

I wasn't expecting an older strip wall setup. The bed was a bit uncomfortable for me (but not my wife). The friendliness and accessibility of the very competent property managers completely made up for any disappointment I may have felt. They were great.
