This was the most cumbersome and discombobulated booking I have ever made. The host is not really a host but another property management company. The reservation confirmation process did not happen timely and as a result, I had to put my client in a hotel for a couple nights. The check-in process required use of the other company’s app as did checkout. We paid a fee for VRBO and I’m not really sure what we gained when I could’ve gone to them directly had I known. It reflects poorly on VRBO when these listings are handled this way. We will be very scrupulous about booking going forward to ensure we are booking with hosts and not companies.
