The various buildings of the Launay estate, of which the cottage is an integral part, began to be built in the 17th century and were originally a simple hunting lodge before being transformed into a country estate. The oldest structures are the two pavilions in the courtyard and the central section of the main building. Several architectural modifications were subsequently made in the 18th and 19th centuries, while preserving a harmonious and unified style across all the buildings.
Since the early 2000s, the Launay estate has hosted prestigious teams every year for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as for the famous "Le Mans Classic" event and the French Motorcycle Grand Prix. A bedroom and bathroom are located on the ground floor.
A staff member is always present on site.
