The oldest park in the state, Turner Falls Park gained its name from Mazeppa Thomas Turner, who set up home on the banks of Honey Creek in 1878. Visit the park today to see how it has expanded in size and ambition over the years. It now covers about 1,500 acres (6 square kilometers). The falls themselves are an impressive 77 feet (23 meters) in height. Splash around in the refreshing natural swimming pools at the base of the falls with the dramatic sight of the Arbuckle Mountains in the background.
The swimming areas here retain their natural beauty, but have been developed to make them more family-friendly.
