"“If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. This was one of the most disappointing and pathetic experiences we have ever had. We chose to stay at this hotel during our wedding week specifically because we wanted to take a few beautiful photos there after our ceremony and create special memories from one of the most important days of our lives.
Instead of kindness or understanding, the staff literally started chasing us out while we were taking photos, treating us as if we were unwanted intruders rather than paying guests who chose this hotel for such a meaningful occasion. The attitude was cold, rude, and completely lacking any basic human decency or professionalism.
What hurts the most is that our wedding day mood was completely ruined because of the way we were treated. A hotel is supposed to represent hospitality, but this place clearly has no understanding of what hospitality actually means. The lack of empathy toward newlyweds on their wedding day is honestly shocking and embarrassing.
Rather than leaving with beautiful memories, we left feeling upset, disrespected, and humiliated. This hotel turned what should have been a happy and emotional moment into a stressful and bitter experience that we will unfortunately never forget.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want to feel welcomed, respected, and treated like a valued guest — stay as far away from this place as possible.”"
"Superior hotel far better than I could possibly have expected. With excellent staff, especially the very sweet ladies helping the karaoke along ( and other events like quiz night). There was one glaring exception: the night reception person (and yes, there is only one) who likes to argue at 5am in the morning and then blames me for arguing back. I asked for a second room card on the phone (I didn’t want to leave and find no one at the reception—an experience I’ve had before) and couldn’t find my room key in the room. He asked why and I explained that. He continued the discussion saying why don’t you just look for key, I got annoyed and said I’ve already looked for it for 15’ or so and it was clearly not visible (in some bag or pocket). He complained that I raised my voice at him (if I did it was ever so slightly). I said fine, was he going to give a second room key or not. He agreed after maybe a 5-10 minute argument. I went down and got it and of course a repeat of the same issue , with me denying that I raised my voice, he stating that I was calm in Spanish but raised my voice when I spoke English. Nice nuance to know. I am learning so much about myself when I travel.
Because of that discussion, I forgot the reason I went down to the reception in the first place. So I went back to ask for borrowing scissors. He said for what? I said what does it matter.. to cut my hair or to cut a tag on my suitcase. He said no. He could not loan it to me for “security” reasons. No space..
"
"We booked this hotel planning to spend time around the pool as depicted. There was no pool as it is being rebuilt. There is no warning of this whatsoever in the hotel description. The staff at breakfast were not at all helpful when ordering or simply asking for basics like milk. Sorry but this isn’t a quality hotel. "
