“The only real issue was the sound carrying from the hall and the room next to me. Our room had a door that connected to another room. Not our request but it just happened that way. I was able to hear the person clearing their throat and moving around early in the morning. I did not expect to be able to hear such soft noises between walls. “The property was easy to find. Contactless check in was great as we were later getting there. The bathroom was newly renovated and beautiful. “Amazing breakfast (LOVED the chive scones). The folks that run the Inn are warm and welcoming, you truly feel you are at home. The other guests must feel the same way, because everyone is always smiling and kind. The rooms are clean, had aircon or heat, a hairdryer, and comfy beds and pillows. “Motel is being updated; room was super nice as well as clean. Neutral decor in new rooms had in a calming effect. Towels were numerous and fluffy. Bed mattresses were great -- one of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. Handicapped accessible bath was nice and the bench met our needs. Staff were extremely helpful sharing knowledge about the area. Motel was very affordable. ”

“I couldn’t rave about this hotel enough. The hotel is in the perfect location to easily access all of old port and beyond. We had a family medical emergency requiring us to stay a few extra days. Everyone at the hotel was the absolute best in helping us with making arrangements and making the best of our additional days. Would 100% book a stay here again whenever I’m back in Portland. ”

“Lovely historic house just as l had hoped...ninteenth-century atnosphere, lovely well kept old wood floors..Linda was right there to greet me even though my time of arrival was delayed a little at Portland bus station... perfect Maine alternative to generic bland hotel chains.
