Great little cabin near the North Shore
We had a great experience during our stay at the cabin, communication was excellent with the owners, it was quiet and peaceful in and around the cabin during our stay, we will be back.

Cozy cabin in the woods
Great cabin. Small, but so nice and cozy. Had everything we needed. Super private in the woods. Fire pit with lots of fire wood. They even had marshmallow sticks, folding chairs and bug spray. I already want to be back!

This was a lovely cabin for a few days stay and was super convenient to the north shore. It was easy to find and get to, and the owners were great about communicating. It has everything you might need, from tv & wifi to nice kitchen area and laundry machines. However it's a cabin, not a hotel, there are a few awkward design compromises, like no sink in the bathroom. We thought it was great, but just hold that in mind. We were three people- adult couple and our child, and the cabin was perfect- we slept on the bed while the kiddo slept on the futon in the living room. No door, just curtains, between bedroom and living room though, in case you have light sleepers. The cabin has ac and we were there on the hottest weekend of the summer and it was up to the task. The outdoors is nice, with a lovely fire pit, but it's also the north woods so there will be skeeters in summer. We were fine sitting outside during the middle of the day, but it was a bit too buggy to do much hanging out by the fire in the evening. One thing to note is that they don't seem to forbid smoking, so there was a bit of a cigarette smell in the cabin. We didn't notice it after a few minutes being inside, but be aware if you're sensitive.

Nice quiet get-away.
We stayed at Grapevine Cottage for 2 weeks in mid-November. It was perfect for the purpose of our visit. Our daughter's family lives about 35 miles from this location and we wanted to feel like we were living nearby. They could visit us, and we could be involved in their family's activities. This location fit the bill perfectly. During the times when we were not with them my husband and I could relax at the cottage and enjoy the scenery. It snowed some almost every day of our stay and it was beautiful. Thankfully our rental car had 4-wheel drive and heated seats. (Smile) The house is rustic, but we are used to that. We would rent this cottage again if we visit - especially with a 4-wheel drive and heated seats.

Ideal location for our current leg of the Superior Hiking Trail. Accurate description. Well priced. The weather made it more difficult to take advantage of the great outdoor setting.

Quiet little cabin. No disruption from anyone. Comfortable beds and recliner chairs. Close to the shore of Lake Superior at a great price. Didn’t cook in the house, but had everything I would have needed. Had a mildew smell, but seemed to mostly be in the entry and a door could close the smell out. Could use some more linen for the futon. No TV channels, which I loved. DVDs provided. Wifi in cabin, but little to no cellphone coverage, which was also kinda nice once we found the place. Overall pretty good.

Great location and stay
Cottage is small but fine for 2 people. Location was great for enjoying the North Shore. Large yard and fire pit to enjoy days or nights if you want to stay just stay there and very quiet. Just a clarification on a couple items tho. The bathroom does not have a sink. You have to use the one in the kitchen. Also, the TV is just for watching DVD's. We definitely enjoyed our time here.

This place was great! It was small & quiet, but only 10 minutes from Two Harbors. It was exactly what I was looking for leading into Grandma’s Marathon. Will definitely stay here again.

Great place!!
Very nice place to stay at for a small family. Very homey and even though the location is about 10 minutes away from the north shore it gives a person the real feel up north without the expensive resorts a person pays for otherwise. The couple were very quick to respond and even though cell phone reception is bad there, it was nice for a change not to be bothered either. Highly recommend!!

Winter in April
This cabin was spectacular -- it is close to Two Harbors, still within distance of Duluth for yummy eating (check out OMC and Northern Waters Smokehaus!), and extremely cozy. We had two people but you could realistically have four as the futon-couch in the living room turns into a bed that could sleep two others.

Calm and quiet location. Owner was very responsive and helpful with our requests. Very clean and cozy place in a nice secluded location. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to stay away for a vacation far from the city rush.

Great stay near Two Harbors, MN and Lake Superior
This wonderful cottage was perfect for a week's getaway. It was very clean, comfortable, and inviting with a great location - close to Two Harbors, MN, Lake Superior, and the beautiful Scenic North Shore Drive. The owners were very helpful in checking with us to see if we had any questions after we arrived. We would definitely rent this cottage again!

Good location and a charming cabin
Fun little cabin on a nice property. Has a creek running through it. The hosts are attentive and took good care of us. Two Lazy-Boys in the living room is a plus. The bathroom is, well, let's say "vintage". The cabin is clean and cozy and has a washer and dryer.

Cute gem of a property
Owners were great communicators and everything was there that we needed. The house has a huge private yard, great fire pit with wood chopped and ready, and the area was so peaceful. Getting a few miles off the lake was a welcome change of pace, and when we wanted the big lake, it was just 10 minutes away. Adults and kids will love the place, but don’t expect a huge house, it’s small but very functional.

Perfect home away from home!
This was exactly what we were looking for. Very private and secluded but close enough to everything we wanted to do. The cottage was set up with everything we needed, pots & pans, utensils, dishes, towels, bedding....... Gina and Chris were excellent hosts and even though we didn't meet them we could tell they wanted everything to be perfect for our stay. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us.

Great home base for exploring coast
Our family of three loved staying at this little cabin. It was a great home base for our four day journey. Kitchen had the necessities to help us cook our eggs, toast and coffee in the morning. Everything was about 20-30 min away - Duluth, gooseberry, split rock and bettys pies. Beds were fine. clean and comfortable. AC worked well. The water had a lil smell (well water) but they provided a huge thing of filtered water to use for cooking and drinking. Curtains worked well to block light while our little one was napping and she enjoyed watching the incredibles while it rained on me afternoon. If you’re looking for dinner around the area, we enjoyed an evening at castle danger brewery with some Do North pizza. Thanks for a great stay.

Great little cabin with the basic essentials needed for a week or weekend visit.
We rented for a winter weekend getaway to go snowmobiling. Great location within 10 minutes of two state trail access points. We will definitely be back again!

A beautiful little place, very private. About 15 min from Two Harbors and an excellent home base for a young family exploring the area. Comfortable and smartly laid out with all the conveniences needed in a small space. Only drawback when we got there was the tap water is not drinkable. Plenty of drinking water was provided via a Culligan unit.

A cozy cottage ringed by woods.
Two nights was Too short a stay too fully enjoy this lovely property. The cottage is cozy and charming, cleverly arranged to provide everything needed. Great shower. The woods surrounding the yard give a great sense of privacy, and the stars really hate visible at night. The “trout stream” described on the website was the only letdown. It doesn’t amount to much. Still, this a great place to get away from the city and to explore the north shore. We would be happy to return. Chris is a terrific host.
