“This was a beautiful room, looked just like the pictures. Excellent water pressure and hot water was abundant. Breakfast was beyond excellent with them making our meals from scratch from a menu. Location was very convient as well. My entire family enjoyed this stay and would stay here again.”

“We stayed for two separate nights before and after Inca Trail tour. Both of the rooms are comfortable, beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent with so much to choose, and many of the food is from the local area. We also took pictures with the cute baby alpaca in the garden. The hotel is located just few minutes walk from the main square, but it's quiet. Unfortunately we didn't have time to join the pisco sour class.”

However, the room was a bit dated, and the bathroom towels were not very clean, which didn’t quite match the price of the hotel. ”

“The hotel in general is pretty well maintained. It does not have a lift, so you need to prepare to carry the luggage up to your room, yet the receptionist are able to help carrying the luggage if you ask for help. The location of the hotel is pretty well and it only takes 5 to 10 mins walk to get to the Square from the hotel. We found the hotel receptionists very helpful. My wife had her lips hurt when playing the sand boarding at Huacachina the day before getting to Cusco. The receptionist is……

“Loved my stay here at Casa Cartagena in Cusco. Staff was friendly, breakfast was great, and the amenities such as the spa was wonderful, especially after hiking Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain. The welcome tea and chocolates with free water was also a nice gesture. Bartender was also very friendly and gave me and my friends a personal pisco making lesson. Location was good, walking distance to Plaza de Armas. Would highly recommend 10/10!”

“The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and kind. However, the hotel itself is poorly designed. To start, there is terrible ventilation in the guest rooms. My room was stuffy and uncomfortable the whole time, and I can’t imagine how much worse it could have been for anyone struggling with the altitude in Cusco as well. The showers were also terrible. There is nothing at the bottom of the shower that prevents the water leaking out of the shower so we had to build a dam of towels to……
