"Oberoi Udaivilas is an outstanding resort in an extraordinary setting on the shores of Lake Pichola. The magnificent architecture, beautifully maintained grounds and attention to detail create a truly luxurious experience, combining elegance, tranquillity and exceptional hospitality. The staff were a real highlight, consistently warm, attentive and professional. Special thanks to Vikas, the chef, for his contribution to our dining experience; Riddesh and Rohit in the restaurant for their excellent service; and Sanjar at the pool for looking after us so well. Their genuine hospitality made our stay particularly memorable. One area where we felt the resort could improve was the music. With India's extraordinary musical heritage, it was disappointing that there was not more Indian music throughout the resort. This would have enhanced the atmosphere and created a more authentic cultural experience befitting such a special destination. We were also disappointed that we had not been advised in advance of the three-day dry period due to the elections. Advance communication would have been appreciated, as it would have allowed us to plan ahead and consider alternative arrangements. Overall, Oberoi Udaivilas is a spectacular property that delivers luxury, beauty and outstanding service. With better communication around local restrictions and a greater celebration of India's rich cultural identity, the experience could be even more exceptional."

"Beautiful property. Well maintained gardens. Very helpful staff in all areas of the hotel. Kajal especially in the restaurant looked after us and pampered us with different foods everyday. Room was clean. Breakfast choice was very good and food was very tasty."

"Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The property is relatively old and it is worth noting that rooms of the same category may not necessarily be identical in terms of condition or upkeep. We did face an issue of a choked drain in one of the rooms, which was a minor inconvenience. The breakfast could certainly be improved, particularly in terms of taste and variety. On the positive side, the staff were courteous, professional and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, despite a few minor shortcomings, we had a nice experience and would consider staying here again."
