「The breakfast included us amazing. Eggs made to order, sausage/bacon, yogurt, fruit, juice, the best coffee I had in Kenya, and a wonderful selection of breads. The staff was lovely… each and every one. The pool is small but well cared for and clean. I liked being off the beaten track and yet only a couple of blocks away from the beach. I was traveling solo so for safety paid a local to walk me back to the hotel after dinner on the beach. I was very sad to leave this little heaven」

「Retro Boutique is a great, small hotel near Diani Beach. I stayed in the deluxe double room on the top floor, and I was amazed at how large my room was. Most if not all the rooms have a balcony, but my room had two balconies. One in the front of the room and one in the back of the room. The water pressure in the bathroom was good, the A/C was cold, and the wifi was fast. My bed also had a mosquito net, but I don't think it was necessary. Also, the breakfast was delicious and it was a hefty...

「This place does not offer what they advertise. Contact number is not Kenyan. Very poor communication when eventually comtacted. Shared toilet and showeroom - which was unaware of when booking. Room not cleaned during stay and had to request clean towels. Kitchen area poorly maintained. Noisy at times too due to layout.」

「The term Luxury cottage is an insult. The pictures are very misleading.This place is so run down. The staff you can tell is trying hard but obviously the owner cares nothing about customer service or being honest. Our "Luxury cottage" had no microwave, no satellite TV and the kitchen and living room were exposed to heat as there are no windows only loose screening that let lots of bugs in. The couch and beds sit on concrete reminiscent of city jail. I realize this property is in the tropics but...

「Hotels.com did not even have the rightful owners on the platform. Some other agency had put this property on the platform. I had to scramble and get a different booking because on arrival at the property I found out that the property was unsuitable for habitation and was going through a renovation!!」

「Me and my wife loved the stay there. The rooms were cool after a long day in the sun, the beds were very comfortable and the staff were all very friendly. The food and bars on the resort are the best we’ve had at a hotel. 」
