The hotel is an old building so don't expect the rooms to be modern...having said that there was everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable and warm and the included breakfast was more than adequate. Check in was super easy. Be aware that there is a flight of steps to go up to all rooms so if mobility is an issue this could be a little tricky The bathrooms are shared but are close to all rooms and the showers were nice and hot. Dinner at the bistro was delicious. Despite being above the pub it was very quiet. Would recommend a stay. Quaint small town close to Grafton right on the river.

The pub is a classic northern rivers pub. Nice outlook from the beer garden. Unfortunately the bar staff we had let the experience down a bit for us. Nice stop in itself, cute little village. Pub looked a bit tired.

Our stay at the Ulmarra Hotel was pleasant. It is a historic building so you can expect a bit of quirkiness but a very enjoyable stay. Comfy beds. Quiet with stunning surroundings. Shops and a lovely park close by. Thank you. Ohh and the food was delicious.

Check in was fine. Room was very basic, only 1 chair . We found an empty water bottle in the room fridge & what was listed as a continental breakfast served in the morning turned out to be some packets of cereal, milk, small tub of Yoghurt & an apple in our room. Apparently, their daily housekeeping does NOT include making the bed! Never had that before! So, unfortunately, based on the expensive price we paid for a small room with not much in it & a shared bathroom, I don't rate this stay very favourably.
