"Room was newly remodeled, clean. There were several "full-time" residents at motel that made us uncomfortable. The smell of marijuana was strong from room next to ours. Only one trash can in room. Bed was very comfortable. No continental breakfast on site. There was an excellent quaint restaurant next to motel called Mary's. The food and atmosphere were great. If you are looking for reasonable price and good bed this is a good option. Front desk staff friendly and helpful."
Plenty of Water on the main channel. Perched on a bluff with breathtaking sunrise views over the lake, this remodeled 2BR/1BA log cabin offers memory-foam beds, well-stocked granite kitchen (farm-fresh eggs!), covered deck, stone fire pit, huge dock.

"Amazing cabin with views of the lake through the trees. Perfect getaway for relaxing on the porch, in the hot tub, or at the fire pit. Easy access to the water, though you do have to take a lot of stairs so the climb up can be a little brutal on the thighs lol. Owners are extremely nice and helped secure us firewood when I’d accidentally left ours at home. The cabin is tidy and makes good use of a relatively small space."

"If you are looking for a fun time at the lake mixed with a glimpse of the 18th century way of life, this is it. Spectacular views, nature on the doorstep, fish, swim, kayak, paddle board or just relax on the porch. Comfy beds, clean linens and the cabin is a real slice of history (with heat and AC)We are planning trip #3."

"Communication was perfect. The cabin was perfectly stocked clean and extremely comfortable. This place was so peaceful and relaxing and was just perfect for our trip. It exceeded our expectations and we will book again. We relaxed enjoyed the amazing lakefront views. We spent time on the dock and in the water and had coffee and breakfast on the great deck every morning. 100 percent recommend this place!"

"We had a great extended family trip at SML! The house was large and spacious with tons of bedrooms and bathrooms. It was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool is great and so is the firepit. The outdoor porches are great for coffee, dinner and outdoors movie nights. Overall would recommend and would come back!One note for future guests: the lake is currently at extremely low levels and makes the dock not usable for boats. After speaking with the host, we were able to figure out how to tie our rented boat up to a tree below the dock, and it worked ok, but required someone to push us out of the very low water every time and some careful maneuvering by the driver. Certainly wouldn’t blame the host for the lake levels but a heads up would have been appreciated so we knew what to expect. The host was very responsive with tips on managing the situation."
