"Great stay. When I checked in at the front desk, they had a welcome bag waiting for me with a personalized note about the weather and events in town that day and a water and granola bar. I've never received a welcome bag from a hotel before and it was very sweet!"

"Driving from Michigan to New Hampshire I was looking for a convenient, affordable place to stop for the night. Located right off the NY Thruway in Utica, this was the perfect place. Clean, cheap, and quiet. Discovering Willie’s Bagel Cafe at the motel entrance was a bonus! The veggie omelette and fresh coffee were the fuel I needed to get back on the road. Be sure to go early, they get busy around 8."

"My room was clean and inviting. The staff were friendly and professional. The Beer Garden restaurant at the hotel has great roadhouse/pub fare with very reasonable prices and generous portions. The outdoor pool was clean and warm. The included breakfast provided a variety of tasty options. I came for a convention and the staff was very accommodating of all attendees. I will stay here again next year."

"We had high expectations for this hotel, as it carries the Marriott name. The king room suites were very spacious. But the bathroom was unacceptably small. We were also given a room with two queens for one night, but the king is much, much nicer. There is coffee in the rooms, which is acceptable. There is no complimentary breakfast, which is a surprising disappointment. And, an average breakfast was available to purchase, but was too expensive, and not worth it. The bathrooms in the lobby are a mile away from the front desk. And, there were never any luggage carts available. There is a parking garage with very nice pay-to-park parking and a short walk. But they did validate our parking, which we appreciated. However, the other guests at the hotel during our stay were of a very low-class type of person. And, we found that this said a lot about the hotel. All in all, this was an affordable choice for us, as we were just passing through Utica. We ate at Demarco’s Italian Steakhouse, and it was very nice."
