"The location of King’s Kastle on Salmon Lake is excellent. The lake is wide at that point and offers great views of the sunrise, particularly from the upstairs master bedroom suite. The lake has less development than others where we have stayed in Maine. We enjoyed seeing loons, eagles, and osprey which are abundant. "This was a first trip to Maine and we were unfamiliar with the area and not sure what to expect. We enjoyed the drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. I wish we had more time to spend in Belfast. The downtown area is so cute and we loved the local brewery! If I had it to do over again, I would have skipped Bar Harbor and stayed right in Belfast. I definitely recommend this property. The owners have thought of everything to make it a home away from home and anticipate all the things you might need for...

"The picture you show was the owners 1st property and we could not access the property with my elderly family. When I called the owner, he offered me a second option of another property. That is the property I rated. It was very kind of the owner to accomodate us. It was a lit more driving than we intended but the accommodstions were much better for us."

"The cabin is beautiful, well equipped, and an easy drive to Belfast. Communication with the property managers was excellent. Belfast is very nice and the walk along the river was just excellent. Aside from groceries we only did window shopping which was abundant. I marked the location three stars as the woods, as you would expect, were very buggy with very many ticks. Not a great spot for dogs. Otherwise very nice and we enjoyed our stay."

"This place has a great waterfront perch, with nice swimming off the dock and a full complement of kayaks. House was well-outfitted and super-comfy, with big windows to enjoy the soothing pond view, even on a rainy day. The one downside was cleaning: we were greeted with a bunch of dirty utensils—does anybody look at what’s in the drawer?—a hurriedly wiped fridge and clump of hair in the shower."

"This cabin is very well decorated with comfortable bedding and furniture. The decor and taxidermy are consistent with a rustic cabin, while the kitchen is set up well to cook, with all the condiments and seasonings to be able to eat in if you choose. The cabin and the nearby hosts both exceeded expectations."

"Property was as expected. No frills just a small cabin, clean and has everything one would need. Landscaping and some updates needed but not required. A little more “rustic” than I thought but overall it was a good stay."

"Wonderful cottage with lake view. Was listed as beach front but there was a short walk to the beach. Other then that the only problem was no plunger for the bathroom! We enjoyed our stay on this property."

"We had a fabulous time. The cove on the lake was so quiet and beautiful. We love bird watching and saw so many wonderful species on and off the water. The cabin is charming and the host incredibly lovely! Would recommend to anyone!"

"Great stay! Clean and new. Mattresses are fantastic we all slept very well. A little out of the way from any big neighboring towns but the area gave great views of the stars since it was so dark and the morning sunrise was astounding amongst the view of the mountains."
