Great property and location

We really enjoyed our time at the Grand Jay Lodge. Gene was easy to communicate with, and the check in/out process was seamless. The property had a great feel, it is a short drive to Lake Placid and the ADK Loj. Whiteface is just down the road as well. We’ll be back next summer for a longer stay!

Family Reunion!

We rented 2 of Gene’s places for a last minute family reunion. Pictures don’t do them justice. They were gorgeous, beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. They were perfect for our family and we can’t wait to be back.

Amazing outdoor space

We booked our stay several years in advance to experience the total solar eclipse in April 2024, and everything worked out beautifully. Gene probably isn't responsible for the perfect weather, but he did provide our extended family with spacious accommodations and an amazing outdoor space to enjoy. He was a responsive, informative host, and we are grateful to have had such a wonderful place to stay in upstate New York.

Outdoor Adventure Awaits

This was our second time staying at the Grand Jay Lodge. It’s a cozy log cabin, with great amenities (hot tub, sauna, air fryer, two laundry rooms). We went with friends last year, and brought the family this year. It’s centrally located between Lake Placid and Keene Valley. Excellent location for trips into town, or to hit a hike out of Adk Log or Keene. The host is very responsive and kind. We’ll be back for a 3rd year!

Family Stay at Grand Jay Lodge

Gene is very accessible and highly responsive. All inquiries and issues were handled immediately and Gene was not happy until we were happy with the outcome. The property was clean and well-apportioned. The property overlooks Jay Mountain, which was a such beautiful backyard view.

Family Reunion

We rented Grand Jay as well as Grand Peaks for a multigenerational family reunion. The houses were a quick walk down the street from each other, making gathering together so easy. Grand Jay was a perfect fit for our needs. The hot tub and sauna were also a hit. Lots of things to do in the area, with a quick drive to Lake Placid. Gene was very responsive to any and all questions and was very accommodating. We look forward to returning in the future!

Beautiful home in middle of Adirondak Park

The house was clean and beautiful. The area has many nearby attractions for those that enjoy the outdoors. The view from the house and the amenities were wonderful. We probably pushed the limit on occupancy with 22 people. The large kitchen table was adequate for us. The TV viewing area was definitely small for our party. The downstairs play area was excellent. We had some bees get into the house in one of the bedrooms. And a couple of my family members thought the beds could have been better (too soft/low quality).

Cousins Reunion

Location was great and there was plenty of room for us. Two things that could have been better: we didn't have access to air/heat for the first day and it was abnormally hot that day and the 2 days leading up to our trip. Secondly, the place hadn't been vacuumed recently. I know because of the spike in temperature there were a lot of dead and live houseflies that week, but the property should have been vacuumed that day. The floors were a little dirty and covered with dead flies but the bathrooms and kitchen were clean. The hot tub and sauna were ready for us and we did enjoy them!

Family Ski Week
