"It was cold during our stay and being right on top of the water there was a very large temperature gradient from the floor to ceiling. We had an infant sleeping in a pack n play on the floor and so it was necessary to blow a fan and move the air. The temp at the floor on our baby monitor was reading 61 while the heat in the room was set to 77. So be aware if you have an infant. Additionally the floor was bowing and popping up in many places. Likely due to extreme temperature swings or humidity....

"We stayed over Presidents Day weekend. It’s conveniently located with pretty much everything you could want less than 20 mins away. Amenities: the attention to detail is excellent. The cottage is well-appointed and stylish, but still cozy. Pets are welcome, and they are considerate with doggy bags, towels by the door, and flashlights for nighttime walking. The home is WARM! "We had such an incredible weekend up at this cabin for the full solar eclipse!🌒 Wow. The views out the back of the house are breathtaking and we really enjoyed sitting in the chairs by the fire pit and soaking in the hot tub. "A small group of friends, myself, and my two dogs stayed here to watch the solar eclipse. The spacious backyard was the perfect place for eclipse viewing and the small town was close enough to Lake Placid for a morning shopping trip but far enough away to avoid the traffic. The house itself has GORGEOUS views, a relaxing hot tub (perfect for after a long hike), and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall it was the perfect home away from home to spend a long weekend."

"Beautiful, clean home in a great location to Whiteface and the town of Lake Placid. Went to go skiing and got more than I imagined. Basement with ping-pong and foosball kept "the boys" entertained at night. I enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while it was snowing. Definitely on my top 3 places I've stayed at, and will rent again."

"We had a lovely time in this chalet in the woods. Everything was as described. Neighborhood was QUIET which is exactly what we were looking for. Close and easy drive to lake Placid for supplies. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and the screened in porch was a very nice bonus. The cooking pots and pans could use updating - all are quite scratched up. Water pressure was good in shower. Communication with the host was terrific. Main bedroom is downstairs and as long as anyone staying upstairs is ok...

"We had an amazing stay at this property. It was perfect for the eclipse viewing. There was 6 of us all together, two elderly, 3 adults, and one baby. It was the perfect amount of space. The location was absolutely perfect and we are even thinking of coming back when it is in season. We enjoyed watching the train across the bay and there were amazing trails and views all along our drive. Very close to Ausable chasm which was another fun day trip. Highly reccomend!"
