"It was truly a place like home. The staff and amenities were wonderful. They did their best to help answer questions we had, were friendly despite working over the holidays!"

"Three-bed room was very nice! But what is with the miniature sink? Impossible not to get the floor wet. Plenty of parking on the street on this the third day of Christmas. Breakfast was fine, We would have wished for more fruit and choices of yougurt. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Hornan. We had a beautiful view of the Cathedral spires, river, and rooftops from our small but very comfortable room. Every was clean and in good condition. Petter and Ishmam at the front desk went above and beyond to help gather information on (Ingmar) Bergman filming locations in the city and even prepared a summary cross-referenced with a local map. I'm a big "Fanny and Alexander"/Bergman fan and really appreciated their help as they added more than I'd found on the internet before leaving the States. The hotel's location is excellent and close to everything. Definitely recommend having a cup of tea or cocktail in the lovely lounge with its high ceiling and pretty decor. Hope to stay here again for future Bergman festivals. "

"The Scandic Uplandia is around 10 minute walk from Upplsala railway station. The rooms are reasonably large with a good bathroom and shower. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of hot and cold options. There is also a gym and sauna. The gym is quite small, but everything was in good working order. Overall, an excellent hotel, which was also very good value."
