Grand Hotell Hörnan has the charm of a small old-line hotel. The location is very convenient to the railroad station as well as to the attractions of the university and the cathedral. The hotel has a comfortable little lounge and a pleasant dining room for breakfast and light meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Honestly we booked this place by mistake, but I am so glad we made this mistake. Uppsala is a wonderful small town and this hotel is right in the heart of Uppsala. We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is top class, convenient from all key locations, walkable distance from train & bus, very well maintained property, staff was very friendly. If you are looking to stay in Uppsala, don't hesitate to stay here.

Very impressed by this property. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room view was amazing. All amenities we could ask for. We have special diet restrictions and during breakfast the staff was able to find extra food for us. Definitively above and beyond in many ways.

On arrival the room hadn't be heated. Only Swedish stations on TV. Very small bathroom. The room was small in general. No smoking allowed on outside terrasse - ridicules! Extremely poor breakfast. Omelette was absurde. Bacon as well. No fresh brewed coffee. A very friendly and helpful staff (Philip & Walter) doesn't make a 4 star hotel. The lady-owner of the hotel seems to be an unexperienced idiot who never frequented other hotels that are known as "best hotel in town".

I really loved the old school approach. No overwhelming signs telling you how to act according to environmental concerns and how great their carbon footprint is, just a clean and well kept hotel , in a great area with a nice breakfast. Really, not much more is needed! A warm and cosy 19 th century building in great condition. I would definitely not have a problem staying at this hotel again. / Kevin
