"Smack bang in the hart of Namba/Dotonbori. A real sensory overload. with loud pachinkos, stores, eateries. An amazing Osaka experience.
Hotel is a short walk (about 150m?) from the Namba station, so getting around is a breeze. Room while a bit dated and could do with a renovation, was comfortable, clean and serviced daily.
Breakfast gets very busy, and if you arrive at 8 to 9am, expect to wait about 5 to 10 minutes for a table. They have a ticket system and you can wait in the complimentary lounge area for a bit.
Breakfast options were good, obviously not much halal but you get by with non meat options such as eggs, salads, cereals, fruits and some breads.
The free laundry room was a huge help (tip: dont go between 9 and 11pm, busy period) has a neat washer, drier and clothing compressor.
For muslim tourists, the area is good and walkable with several halal restauraints all within a 5 to 10m walk away. Osaka is the foodie capital of japan. And you'll find it a challenge to try out all the halal restaurants.
Because you're in the heart of Namba, everything is walkable, the various shopping streets and arcades, dotonbory canals etc. Omeda is a short metro ride away and good to spend a day exploring and doing the viewing deck.
This hotel also does the luggage transfers seamlessly.
The complimentary lounge was a nice suprise. Free tea/coffee/soft drinks (and alcohol if you prefer) along with a little pancake station and various toppings. "
"Everything about this hotel was great. The staff was friendly and it helped a lot that they spoke English. The room was clean, but the absolute best part was the Onsen. We didn’t realize when we booked that it’s the highest onsen in the world."
