Great Family Vacation

Perfect Ski Trip House

Our 9 person group fit perfectly in this property! The house has great sleeping arrangements and a great layout for spending time together in the living room/kitchen area. Would recommend!

Fabulous ski lodge!!

We absolutely love this spacious house just a short 1.5 miles from the slopes. Plenty of space and bathrooms for everyone. Lots of places to park - a rarity in vail. We will definitely be back!

Great location; plenty of space!

Great location—just minutes away from Vail Village and just around the corner from grocery/liquor store and breakfast diner. Plenty of space for a large group, if needed. Large kitchen and cozy living room for hanging out. One of the few properties I was able to find that had sufficient beds for adults and not just rooms full of twin or bunk beds. Could use some updated linens, but otherwise, clean and comfortable.

The property was fine. Not a great location for getting out of driveway. Kind of annoying process to have to answer multiple questions about who was staying at property, age of renter being over 25 (asked 3 times) and hassle of talking to someone over phone.

Big place, great access to town!

We had 6 couples. Thankfully I brought an air mattress, because the basement living room had no furniture in it, a pull out couch would have been great. Other wise, every room having its own bathroom was amazing for 5 of couples. the kitchen!!! A bit hot in July, no a/c. Wasn’t something I even thought of checking for. So I’d recommend having some fans available. But it was tolerable, wouldn’t stop me from returning. Had trouble with a door, management company texted instructions to me very quickly. Location was great, bused into town everyday, I’d love to go back winter or summer. It’s hard to find a place this size! Thanks to the owners and management company.

DISAPPOINTMENT AND FRUSTRATION

We booked this home for three nights and were unable to walk foot in the door based on the treacherous weather conditions (all roads/passes closed) earlier this past week. I did agree to the cancellation policy but would have hoped common sense and human kindness would have prevailed when we requested even a portion of the fees be refunded. Having been timeshare holders in the past, we certainly know there are terms and conditions but would have thought, at the very minimum, (unused cleaning fees, service fees, etc.) could have been refunded. We requested the management company reach out to the owner but have yet to hear a word. Having been owners in a similar situation I most certainly would have understood, under these conditions, and would have refunded my tenants entire amount. It's called understanding, common sense and kindness; none of which were present in this situation.

Great Location, Beautiful Place--Just Don't Look Too Closely

The location of this place is great, close to Vail Village and easy to use the public transportation system. At first glance, the house is huge and beautiful. Our first impression was that it was clean and perfect for our group of 8. However, as we started to use items, cook in the kitchen, and hang out in the house, we quickly realized how outdated, worn-in, dirty, and cheap the place seemed. This was not an inexpensive place, but it felt like it. If you plan to cook, you spend hours cleaning everything, appliances are disgusting/moldy or broken. We understand that this is a rental place, but the owners or management company took shortcuts with the upkeep the house. The washer was full of mold and took hours to clean. Shower curtains were moldy and looked like they were never washed or changes. If you want to work or just check emails, you better have unlimited data because the wifi was a huge issue. It only works in one place and if too many people are on it, you will be kicked off. We contacted the property management and they were quick to respond, but slow to fix anything. They did make a few things right. but the hassle of this wasn't worth money that we paid.

Big Disappointment

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There is a lot good about this house, the location in particular. But we had no end of problems. The dishwasher was broken when we got there, and after 3 days of trying to figure out when it would be fixed, we were informed that it would not be until after we left. Then, the day before we left, while we were in the midst of breakfast, one of the owners arrived with a crew and insisted that he be allowed to replace the dishwasher right then so that it would be available for the next guests. When we arrived, there was ice on the hot tub and we had to have to hot tub repairman out there three times before it was fixed. Also, the washer and dryer didn't work until we figured out that the circuit breaker had tripped. The process of getting responses to all these issues was particularly frustrating. Turnkey, the property manager, gives you a number to call with problems, but it turns out the the number just connects you to a call center. They are supposed to connect you to a "local team," but it took us 3 days to get anyone local on the line. (Once the local team got involved the experience improved significantly, but my poor wife had to call Turnkey in tears before we got any response other that sweet talk from the call center. It is obvious that this is purely a rental unit since all of the kitchen equipment was just stuffed randomly in various cabinets. We found parts for a food processor in 3 different cabinets. Etc. Lastly, the place could use some freshening up. The living room furniture is tired and the carpets there need a good cleaning. This was supposed to be a dream vacation: Christmas at Vail with out entire family!! But the problems we had with the house certainly took some of the glow off that whole experience.

Perfect in all way

This house was very convenient to the shuttle and slopes. The set up was perfect for out two families with grown kids. Pool table chef’s kitchen, extra beverage refrigerator , heated floors and hot tub put it on the top rental we’ve stayed if yet!!!

Nice place

It’s a nice place to stay at, it is a beautiful home, we gave it a four star only because it’s tight getting into the garage and the rafters in the home could use a good vacuuming. The Manager of the place is quick to respond which for me that is a huge plus we would definitely stay here again.

House was exactly as advertised and location is fantastic. Easy to get to everything in Vail Valley in minutes. Our only issue was that we were traveling in from out of town and shipped some items for our toddler to the house but did not realize that the mailbox is not at the house and we were not able to get them from Vacasa or the owner. We were told to contract Amazon when the issue was that they were locked in the home's delivery box. DO NOT ORDER anything to meet you on your visit to this home. You will not be able to get it.

Overall very happy

Communication with the management office was amazing. I had email responses in the matter of minutes. I did have to call twice because the door code was wrong/didn’t work, but I was never put on hold and the service was efficient and friendly. The place was just as described and the location was amazing. It was a short 5 minute bus ride to Vail village center. I would be happy to stay again and will recommend to friends.

Nice Property for a Family Stay

We found this property to be well located and very comfortable. I would rate it as good overall. A couple of improvements - new great room furniture and a good carpet shampoo - would bump the rating to great. I did not pick up on it in the pics prior to reserving, but the leather sofa has a couple of rips and the cushions are just worn out. The layout of the house was perfect for our stay with the kitchen serving its purpose with plenty of space to gather. Very nice feature’s throughout the house.

Great Stay in Vail but title is misleading

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is conveniently located and has room for at least 2 cars. It has a nice hot tub and 5 bedrooms with 5 baths. The kitchen is large but the refrig was marginal with the icemaker not working and the food marginally cold. The rooms are hot in the summer. There is no separate apartment. Not sure why that is in the title. Pretty good stock of things like spices, coffee filters, laundry detergents, etc.

Our pros and cons

This property is beautiful and in a prime location! Pros - plenty of space/sleeping rooms, beautiful deck, hot tub, overall the property was wonderful. Cons - dishes were quite old and not very clean and we had to wash everything before we could use them, the griddle had a note saying it was broken from the previous guest, kitchen towels had holes, food left open in cabinets, the fridge did not hold temp the second night (50 degrees and then dropped back to 40 degrees by the morning), bedding on the beds are old and dingy, carpet stains, hardly any towels for showering (we had to go buy our own), photos of the deck do not match up with the website. We brought our own chairs because the listing shows the deck as empty only to find about 8-10 chairs on the patio.
