Sandstone Creek Club Vail
I've been to this property many times. The location is good and shuttle service to chairlifts is good though shuttle to Golden Peak is limited and pick up is only at Vail Transportation Center which means a short in-town-bus ride. You can also take the Town of Vail bus, a short walk to the bus stop, to the Vail Transportation Center, which is at Vail Village.
The property is definitely dated and could use new paint with some cheerful colors in common areas and in the units. Furnishings are just okay. I would rate this as a 3 star hotel. Nice swimming pool and hot tubs, plus other amenities I did not use. I have always found it annoying to have to remove trash and recycles to the bins outside and across the parking lot. Everyone in the front office was friendly and flexible with the exception of one middle aged woman, who was a crank.
There are very few condos in Vail at Sandstone's price point as Vail is rather expensive where the average price of an entree at a restaurant is $40. So it's all about location.
