「Wonderful stay under the swaying, mossy pines. Think “glamping”- the toilet is currently a portable bathroom outside. It was wonderful!」

「We had a difficult time checking in. It was very complicated since we arrived a bit later than anticipated. Finally they sent someone but this person only spoke Russian so it was difficult to communicate with them but they led us to the place. That was tough. However, we LOVED the place. There was lots of room for the 4 of us. Amazing big kitchen for cooking. Loved the balcony where we spend time when it wasn't raining. Nice sitting area but watch your head on the low beams. 「Einmalige Natur rundherum. Ein uriges Haus mit Charakter in einem abgelegenen Naturschutzgebiet am Seitenarm von Sognofjord. Hinter dem Haus - ein Zauberwald mit Eierschwammerln und Blaubeeren. Ein schöner Wanderweg führt auf den Blaubeerberg in der Nähe. Die Anreise ist nur mit dem kleinen Boot möglich und dauert eine knappe Stunde von Vik. Die Wellen am Fjord können spürbar sein, daher Wetter Bedingungen eruieren. 」

「A nice old house with enough space for us to stay. The house is old, but has everything you need to stay (although the washing machine is old, small and has low spinning so it takes some time to dry) and the wifi is poor. Lot's of opportunities for hiking in the area, and also to go with the ferry to the other side. The house is in Ortnevik (we thought it was in Bjordal) at the end of a road. Joar is a very friendly and helpfull guy, and is easy to reach. We recommend this house for a stay.」

「Great house! The location is within walking distance to shops, grocery store, the fish market, restaurants and lots of exploring. Enough rooms and beds for 7 people to sleep comfortably. Amenities and decor were very nice. Kitchen was spacious enough for multiple people to prepare food. Stairs are pretty steep and narrow so would be difficult for elderly people but no problem for our crew of 20, 40, and 70 year olds. I would stay at this location again.」

「Wow, Norway is amazing and beautiful — it exceeded even our already lofty expectations. And this VRBO was an excellent choice for the heart of our stay. Its picturesque location was also perfectly situated in the center of many possible day excursions. Coming from the USA, it was a long journey getting here. But the experiences, pictures, and memories that were made, created a once-in-a-lifetime caliber trip! We definitely will make every effort to come back!!!」

「Tolles gemütliches Haus in ruhiger Lage direkt am Fjord gelegen. Beste Angel- und Wandermöglichkeiten. Sehr nette Vermieter .」

「My family and I (13 years old to 82 years old) had a fantastic holiday here. This is the best VRBO I have stayed in. The host provided everything you might need or think of - her information packet is better than most tourist books you will find! She was also incredibly responsive to questions. The location is simply beautiful and the area offers many things to see and do. I could say so many other things but will end with this - if you want to see Norway, then this is the place to go.」

"The hotel is big with lots of rooms but the rooms are arranged in a way that there are lots of corridors and it may be difficult to locate a room. Rooms are clean and stylish, with reasonable space in this expensive city. Room facilities are also good. However, staff if the reception is not helpful. We asked for their help to call taxi to go to airport on our date of departure but he seemed not willing to do so. Although he agreed to call taxi for us, we eventually waited for half an hour with no taxi coming. The staff was not willing to help us follow up with the taxi company even on our repeated requests. We eventually need to find taxi on the street on our own. Service is a big issue."
