The Freddie Mercury Hotel

"Great help from Ionut when we checked in so kudos to him. Literally next door to the train station although really up the hill from the city and the lake. Great breakfast buffet (not included with the room, still worth it). The mattress on one side of the bed tilted downward. One the tables had poke or punch marks on it and the cleaning staff did not change one of the sheets that had stains on it. We also saw trash on a table in a common area that did not get picked the three days we stayed there."

"Très sympa! Service impeccable. Chambre très propre. Pas de sèche-cheveux. La chambre est très humide en cette saison. L’humidité générée par la douche n’est pas évacuée. Conséquence les draps sont humide. Juste compromis entre le prix abordable et la proximité du centre ville"

"Both Aldriana and Taisiia at the front desk were very helpful and professional. Everyone else acted as if we were an interuption. Not good. The daily breakfast was good and the breakfast room staff was good, until our last morning (Sunday), the woman we delt with suddenly turned sour and argumentative.over a cup of coffee, unbelievable. The biggest debacle was laundry. No one tells you about the procedure at checked in, just that it’s free on the 8th floor. Beware: you need a special card, that of course they are out of. Worst experience ever, Although aMargot was helpful, I wasted hours and was truly frustrated, to make matters worse I requested to speak to the Manager, no response, no follow up, I figure this culture of bad service starts at the top: either the Manager couldn’t be bothered or was never informed, not good. Also every morning the water jug was empty, the trash overflowing and smelly. I won’t return."

"Great location but the hotel is a bit older and the rooms show it. Also we woke up to multiple ants on the floor of our room and the staff was not helpful at all which was disappointing."

"Great location, very clean room and bathroom. Nice soap in washroom, room had kettle with two instant coffees and also a fan for the room. Beds comfortable and clean. Staff helpful. Elevator is a bit noisy, you can hear it in your room. Recommend ear plugs for sleeping. Would recommend staying here."
