Valenciennes Bar Hotel

"the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully renovated old military hospital, high ceilings, sympathetic materials, amazing glazed lobby, most beautiful spa i have seen for a long time. The town is quite nice but nothing very special, had few drinks in the lovely square which was nice. Art museum was closed till 2024? and townhall under renovation. "

"Beds are MUCH TOO HARD. They feel like sleeping on the floor. Totally unacceptable. "

"Lovely hotel in a great location. Right across the road from the station. Tram stops nearby, short walk in to town. Hotel is pleasant enough and suitable for my needs. Bed was comfortable, shower has good pressure and hot. Breakfast was decent with enough choice. Wouldn't hesitate to go back."

"We had a lovely stay here. When we arrived we were told we could keep our 2 motorcycles in the hotel garage. The people on reception couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and always had a smile. There is a lovely walled garden at the rear where we ate breakfast. The location of the hotel is great too. There is a Greek restaurant 2 minutes away and many other restaurants within a very short walk. Id definitely recommend this hotel which is full of character "

"It's pretty much an Ibis. The parking garage is very narrow and cramped so I wouldn't advise parking there with a large vehicle. "
