"Loved the outside ambiance of Berkeley Marina and Caesar Chavez Park; as well as the inside ambiance of the hotel. Nice pool and hot tub and fire pits by restaurant. Would like fires in them to go past 10 pm. Nice spacious king room but pull out sofa bed was not at all comfortable. Restaurant food is wonderful but too expensive, as is food in the large 24 hr deli. Staff is very friendly and helpful! "

"I would like to give a special thank you to Hannah at the front desk for her exceptional service. Although check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, we arrived around 11:00 AM simply intending to drop off our bags. She graciously accommodated us with an early check-in at no additional cost and provided us with a room featuring a beautiful view overlooking the city. The rest of the staff were equally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and very aesthetically pleasing. However, the fifth floor did have a noticeable musty odor, reminiscent of old or stale cigarette smoke. Additionally, the bed was quite firm, which may not suit those who prefer a softer mattress. The restaurant experience was average. While the staff were attentive and kind—kind enough to remove a drink I didn’t enjoy from the bill—the food and beverages did not particularly stand out. Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, we had a positive experience and would consider staying here again in the future."
