"Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich sehr schön. Die Gastgeberin war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit.In der schönen Ferienwohnung ist alles vorhanden, was man zum Wohlfühlen braucht.Fahrtzeit nach Pisa 1 Stunde 45 Minuten und Florenz 1 Stunde 25 Minuten. Nachts die Serpentinen hoch ist ein kleines Abenteuer, da allerhand Wild unterwegs ist."

"AVOID! Owner canceled our prepaid accommodation 3 hours prior to arrival leaving us stranded without accommodation apparently due to damage incurred from previous tenant. Owner texted us an image of a brown toilet but refused to meet us and ignored phone calls. We ended up taking a hotel across the street. At least the Owner did promptly refund our payment, which however did not cover the increased cost of the last-minute hotel."

"Leider hat das mit dem Parkplatz nicht geklappt. Es hat keinen zugewiesenen Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück wie auf Hotels.com vermerkt. Die Anweisung war unklar und zu spät. Wir irrten fast eine Stunde in der Altstadt von Modena umher und mussten anschliessend einen teuren Parkplatz bezahlen. Die Wohnung war ok und zentral."

"No pudimos completar la estadia porque cuando ya estábamos en la puerta para hacer el Check-in no había nadie. Tuvimos que encontrar un número de teléfono y llamar al dueño o administrador (no sabemos quien es). Este (por mensaje de WhatsApp) nos informó que no podríamos usufruir de la estadia porque el baño estaba en malas condiciones. La solución que él encontró fue recomendar ir a un hotel cerca sin ningún tipo de soporte o reserva previa. Conclusión; quedamos en la calle sin hospedaje y...

"The service, staff and concept was excellent. I really appreciated the free laundry machines, but it was disappointing that many of the dryers were dirty. The location was close to the station in terms of distance, but it was on the opposite side where there was nothing around. At night the neighborhood felt a little uneasy, as there were some people shouting and arguing nearby."

"On our first visit to Bologna we figured we would stay at the hotel Metropolitan because of its location in the city as it was fairly central to all the interesting areas and gave us a great place to start to explore from. One thing to note is that it is a bit of a walk from the train station, but the walk is nice and is mostly under porticoes which made it much more enjoyable. The hotel itself was very clean and nice and the room was set up very well. I did read from other reviewers about the odd shower/bathroom arrangement and I need to report that it was indeed a bit odd for us as well. Once we figured it out it was not an issue though and we got along with the bathroom/shower just fine. The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooftop lounge was a great place to spend the later evenings and sometimes the late afternoons. The rooftop lounge had very nice views with good drinks and snacks. The breakfast downstairs was good, but I would only rate it a 6 out of 10 due to the lack of selection. I will tell you that the coffee was fantastic though! We quickly fell into the timing of the Bologna locals which included a light lunch around 12-1pm, an Apertivo around 5-6pm with a very small snack and then dinner at 7-8pm. This is not our normal timing (being from the US), but once you get into the flow it works quite well and you can tell the time by the packed crowds at either the bars and/or restaurants. The hotel was great!"
