"Overall the experience went well, though it didn't start that way. When we first check in around 9:30pm the young lady working the chick in desk was spending more time chatting and laughing to a separate conversation on her cell phone, while wearing her earbuds, than checking us in. Only asked if we were carrying pets, which we were not, and gave us our room number and key. Lucky if we got more than 20 words from her. But overall the room was clean, the area was convenient for our needs and the hot breakfast was great. We only had to endure the non welcoming attitude when we came in, but we were so tired it didn't really bother our overall stay."

"House was in a rough neighborhood. They didnt have the air running so the house was very muggy when we arrived. There was an ant problem, told them about it and no one showed up for a day "due to bad weather" it was raining on and off. It wasnt that bad at all. Host was still in contact and wasnt hard to reach. Beds and couch were very basic. Same with the pillows. Bathroom had no leg room for the toilet. They're in the process of a remodel."

"Lovely room with a great view. Staff is excellent. Location is absolutely perfect: There's a streetcar stop directly outside that drops you off at the Plaza on one end and tons of other attractions on the other end — Union Station, World War I Memorial, much more. Westport restaurants are very close by. CONS: The food is vastly overpriced and middling at best. The breakfast buffet is currently $25 per person and the food is not better than you'd get at any breakfast buffet. I don't mind paying that much for a meal, but the quality was nowhere near the price, both there and in the bar restaurant, where the food was also actively not great. Also: Stop charging for Wi-Fi. $15 a day so we could stream tv to a laptop (Netflix login was available on the television but froze every time we tried to use it). There is no non-greed reason to do this in the year 2026. Still, overall a good experience."

"I did not read reviews before I booked our stay and I probably should have. Our room was clean enough for the one night we were staying but the hotel seems to be in overall disrepair. The small things begin to add up. While the room was clean, the remote control for the TV would not work. The batteries were held in place with a rubber band. The shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall and the piping for the shower was loose. You could feel the pipes in the wall move when you turned on the faucet. Upon checking in, my picture was taken, which I have never experienced before. This was after they took a picture of my ID. I also believe the online photos have been heavily edited because the hotel looks a lot nicer in the online pictures than it does online. The breakfast served was exactly what we expected and was quite lacking. Things needed to be refilled. There was a waffle maker and waffle batter dispenser. It appeared to be leaking as there was a huge batter mess under the dispenser. While I was making a waffle for my child and myself, the nozzle on the waffle dispenser came off in my hand and batter began to pour out. I needed a place to wash my hands but the bathroom in the lobby was out of order. I would not recommend this hotel."

"The only good thing about this hotel is the location if you are going to a sporting event. If you generally like Holiday Inn Express, lower your expectations. Old, outdated and in need of major renovation. I think it was clean but it was hard to tell from how old everything was. Carpet looks to be from the 80s, and not in a cool vintage way. The blow dryer in the room was rusted, the shower had broken off shelves, there were paint splatters on the walls and it was definitely not Dove products in the soap containers. The lobby still had Christmas decorations up (it’s May). The price gouging for forgotten items was crazy($10 for deodorant!). Honestly, Holiday Inn should be appalled to have their name on this motel."
