A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Venice!
I’m so glad I found this lovely place in the center of Venice! The Design Apartment at B&B Fortuny pleasantly surprised us with its size and comfort. In Europe—and especially in Venice, where every extra square meter is a luxury—it’s rare to find such a spacious apartment (about 70 sq. meters!).
The apartment was spotless, with two bedrooms, a spacious living room, and a well-equipped kitchen/dining area. It’s located on a quiet, charming street with a secure entrance—perfect for a peaceful stay.
The booking process was easy. Right after we reserved, the owner, Andrea, messaged us with a warm greeting and asked about our arrival time. A few days before our trip, he sent detailed directions (with pictures!) showing exactly how to find the apartment, which made arrival stress-free. It’s just a short 3–5 minute walk from the vaporetto stop.
We arrived about 20 minutes before check-in, and the apartment was already ready. Andrea even helped us carry our bag the short distance from his office (about 50 meters away). He also gave us great tips for exploring Venice—like visiting Burano first, which turned out to be a fantastic idea!
Another big plus: a supermarket is located nearby, which was convenient since we prefer making our own breakfast. Italian products are delicious, and having a kitchen made our stay even better.
Overall, I would rate B&B Fortuny Design Apartment a solid 10 out of 10. Wonderful host, excellent
