Wonderful spot!

Trying to figure out just where to stay in Venice is a challenge. Ca Maria Callas is in an ideal location. Super short walk to St. Mark's Square. Super short walk to the Rialto Bridge. The hotel provides excellent communication, and is VERY prompt in returning all inquiries related to your stay. For late night arrivals, everything is seamless - from arranging the water taxi, to providing clear instructions for check-in, it's a breeze for the weary traveler! I ADORED the view from the room - perfect! It's at a canal "intersection", so watching the gondolas and work boats from the small balcony is mesmerizing! You're behind Theater La Fenice - a must-see! Above all, the room is clean and so comfortable. It's your haven and respite from sightseeing and the bustle of the city. I absolutely recommend Ca Maria Callas.

The concierge was very helpful. Easy to get into even though we came after reception closed. Had no problems communicating with the staff. Walls are a bit thin but that’s to be expected for an old building. Hotel was recently updated(3 years ago) AC worked great!

Ah, Venice. Great Hotel!

Lovely little spot tucked into an out of the way corner near all the big sites. We loved our room, the staff, and the location. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely wonderful property. We were fortunate enough to book a room with a Juliet balcony. One afternoon with a bottle of Prosecco that they gave us. We stood there and waved a couple hundred gondolas going by such a treat.

A Perfect Stay in Venice

From the moment we booked, the team at Ca’ Maria Callas were incredibly organised and helpful – even arranging a smooth water taxi transfer for us from the train station ahead of our arrival. Check-in was simple and efficient, and the hotel itself felt very safe and secure, which was reassuring. We chose a canal view balcony room (because when in Venice…!) and it was absolutely worth it. The view was stunning – with beautiful décor, the constant buzz of canal life, and that unmistakable Venetian charm. I felt completely immersed in the magic of the city from the moment we stepped in. The room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the modern comforts. The air conditioning was genuinely excellent – a real lifesaver in the summer heat! There is a steamer in the room and also a British adaptor. Although reception isn’t 24/7, they’re just a message away on WhatsApp and incredibly responsive. They happily arranged our water taxi to the airport, and the taxi company they use is reliable, prompt, and friendly. We absolutely loved this hotel – it felt like the perfect base for Venice, and I honestly can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we return.

Nicely decorated & upgraded room with a view!

Everything was very nice. I loved the canal view from my room. I highly recommend this place it’s in a really nice area and centrally located. It was nice and quiet. Glad I didn’t stay in Marks Square. This was a much better area. I would stay again if I return!

Five stars!! Amazing!! First, the staff was kind enough to reach out via What’s App (download if you don’t have) to check how we would arrive. Very helpful that they explained options since we were new to Venice. The room was one of the most romantic I’ve been. Super clean and unique - absolutely love the decor! The location was also very convenient. Minutes walk to brand shops and ports. We were so happy to have chosen this hotel and would highly recommend!!

Brilliant stay in a great part of Venice

Great hotel in a guest house style, there were 3 rooms. Bed was very comfy, location is perfect, it is a 5 minute walk from san marco but also quiet at night. We had a room overlooking the canal, which was great. The hosts were great, they sent us an email with what was going onnin venice during our stay so we were able to plan and they also sent us a list of recommended restaurants depending on the area of venice we went to. Great value for money in a lovely part of venice, would recommend highly. Rooms had plenty of space and bathroom was large with a shower. They also provided a plug in mosquito repellant. Only thing to be aware of, is this room is up stairs and doesnt have any lift, its only 2 short flights of stairs but would recommend anyone with mobility difficulties to maybe chat to the hotel before coming.

Nice cozy hotel

Very nice location, pretty centrally in Venice 10 minutes by foot from Rialto bridge. Not the easiest entrance to find, but nice neighbourhood. Beautiful views of the canals, that were however slightly noisy on the weekday mornings. Room was well equipped internet tv, steam iron, modern bathroom, coffee and tea. Everything new and nice. All in all it’s a very nice hotel for experiencing Venice.

It was very central, around the corner from the opera and not far from St Marks Square and the water taxi. The room itself was OK and a lady later in the week, but the man who met us and was there the first few days was unfriendly, didn't understand us, messed up the payment we had asked him to split a certain way for the room and sat in the communal room smoking the whole time, so it stunk. We were given two coffee sachets and no milk for the whole week. He said no breakfast because of covid, but the coffee machine in the rom didn't work properly either. my friend did go into that room and use the kettle and the teabags in the end and they didn't charge us but no milk. My friend was very disappointed as it was promoted on the website as a much better property with better facilites and friendly staff. In reality it was a room and bathroom at the top of two flights of stairs.
