"We arrived expecting to learn more about the Great War but left having experienced so much more. Great area of beauty and historical interest. Our host was very helpful and provided us with a taste of the regional cuisine and hospitality that was above all expectations. "Clean, big house. We were there with 2 families. A great multi level garden with toys for the kids (inside and outside). Great patio to hang out with table and chairs. Garden is a very very big plus point. What would make the garden complete are a few movable lounge chairs. The host and property manager were very quick in responding to all our request. "We really enjoyed our stay here! The house has a great ground level, with a warm fireplace and space to spread out. The kitchen has everything you need. We really liked how every bedroom had its own bathroom and shower. The location was perfect too- trails nearby, country feel, yet close to town. Highly recommend!!"

"The gite was very well equipped and comfortable. Probably one of the best we have stayed in over many years. The surrounding countryside is variable, with flat plains , hills and lakes. If you are interested in Ww1 the preserved trenches in the area are the best I have seen. Verdun and Nancy, which are a short drive away, are both historical and picturesque."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely family home, there was plenty of space and lots of outdoor activities. We really liked the pool however it isn’t fenced which would have been good to know in advance. There is a local vineyard, restaurant and a supermarket nearby. We would definitely recommend this large house to other groups wanting a quiet getaway. The hosts were extremely helpful and offered to help with anything we needed."

La cuisine est très bien équipée, surtout son four xxl et sa cuisinière qui sont très bien pour cuisiner des grandes quantités. Côté activités et cultures: la grande guerre avec la butte de Vauquois, ravin du génie, mémorial de Verdun, ou la cave de Joseph Perrier à Châlon en Champagne.... Ce séjour fut une parenthèse inoubliable."

"Superb property, best we have stayed in (out of six). Well equipped with everything and more you will need, plenty of plates, glasses, dishware and cookware. Proper oven. Do not be put off by the appearance from the street - the property is comfortable, spacious, peaceful and homely, with wonderful garden, terrace, and seating/relaxing areas. We are a couple and enjoyed the space. Great location, easy for Verdun, Metz, Nancy, and villages and sites along the Côtes de Meuse. Lovely walking in the...
