We spent a week in this lovely ski-in ski-out appartment very close to the Veysonnaz Gondola with 6 adults, 1 toddler and 2 infants.
The appartment is bright and modern but still very cozy because of the lovely fireplace and it has a view to die for!
The skiing/boarding people in our group could just ski down in less than 30 seconds to the gondola, and the non skiing ones could walk down to the village (about 15 min via the road) or explore some of the other trails around the area. We had lovely lunches at the restaurant at the bottom of the gondola, and another highly recommended place is the fondue restaurant 200 meters up hill. It is a steep climb via the slope, or a 10 minute walk via the road.
The ski area is extensive, and there is something for everybody from kids to beginners and advanced or off piste. We did some nice trips to Verbier, but also the other side towards Les Collons had some nice wide slopes.
One tip: before going up the mountain from Sion, make sure that you do your grocery shopping and also buy the bread that you can bake in the oven! The supermarket in Veysonnaz is small, has limited shopping hours and carries only a few items.
