This was truly a dream! I will definitely come back to Lugano and stay here. It was raining the entire time but it made the stay more romantic. Lovely find between Morcote and Lugano. Shuttle bus collected us from Lugano train station for an our 2 night stay. We had a very large room overlooking the lake. Everything was clean and well looked after. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk to Morcote or a bus/shuttle ride away from Lugano. The spa and restaurant were also of high quality.

Fantastic views from our room, overlooking the lake, which was spacious and clean. Staff very helpful with all requests. Had a great gym and spa, with plenty of lovely eating places within Lugano (10 mins away) and just a mile down the road in Morcote. Would definitely return!

The location of this hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the views of the lake are stunning. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself can definitely use a few upgrades For 1 the Air conditioner is pretty terrible. It’s pretty much a fan, the room gets pretty warm during the day. At night it’s not terrible but the AC can use an upgrade for sure. Also the furniture and carpets/rugs need to be changed or cleaned thoroughly. Plenty of stains on the carpet and couches. If you plan on being out majority of the day then i would say it’s fine but if you care about appearance and you plan on spending a lot of time in the room then maybe look at other options. Overall I had a good experience The breakfast is pretty good as well. If you’re traveling from over seas I’d recommend renting a car

Very disappointing stay. This hotel is so, so far from the 5 stars. Its an old, tired and in desperate need of refurbishing hotel. The service at the front desk is poor. Not rude, but just not friendly, not accommodating and uncaring. You will just get the cold polite indifference. The official hotel check-in is at 3PM and they will not give you the room a minute earlier. Must be the Swiss precision. Certainly not all rooms finish cleaning at the same time as the clock strikes 3 PM. Clean rooms become available as the people check out thru-out the morning and then get cleaned-up. BUT, no matter what, you will have to wait until 3 PM for your room. Even if you get there as the first guest at 10AM. The rules are the rules! They don't care! On the good side, the people at the 6th floor breakfast were very nice, helpful, service with a smile. Our room was large, but the furniture was old and quite beat-up. Curtains are dirty. We paid for the lake front view and our room on the 3rd floor was facing the lake. It was nice, but all lake facing rooms are also facing the main road, where the cars drive with hi speed all day and night and that creates noise in the room. Must say the shower in our room great strong water flow. Free Parking in the front of the hotel is nice, but in some cases they need to take the car keys from you. For us that turned into a very stressful situation,because they could't find our key for 20 mins, which cased us a lot of stress trying not to miss our flight
