excellent for just hanging around town. Pubs,coffee shops, ice cream, gifts ,restaurants etc. all in short walking distance from the hotel. Never moved the car all weekend and didn’t need a taxi to get around.

My stay there was unpleasant to the point where I did not even use my prepaid final night. I was on the 4th floor with a non operative elevator The Bradford is selling location and nothing else…… Wyndham is not benefiting from this

Clean room but greatly in need of updating. Wallpaper was coming loose. A lot of signs of wear overall. Bed was comfortable though. Location was convenient but that also came with noise. I would have liked a heads up regarding the remodeling in progress. I was surprised of the price given the maintenance situation.

The shower head is an absolute nightmare. It’s too high and the water heat adjustments are hard to interpret. The overall carpeting in the property gave me a breathing problem. No labels on the shampoo and body wash dispensers.

Bathroom has no sink so you have to go out and use the mini kitchen sink to wash your hands or wash your face or brush your teeth. Can’t use the stove top because there is no pots/pans. No spoons or forks as well. Too noisy at night. Can hear the band playing downstairs.

Decent rates and excellent location. Busy downtown area, so a bit of street noise, but not too bad. Definitely a funky character building and not a grey cookie-cutter establishment. Staff was good and things were relatively clean. Downsides: - hallway had a musty smell and plumbing needs some major upgrades. Bathroom faucet was barely attached; kitchen sink made some terrifying noises and started belching soapy water from someone draining a tub upstairs. - no lamps on the night stands. Just odd. - fridge was turned on full blast and ruined some groceries by freezing them. - Bathroom had no fan and door had no latch. - 3/4 windows had no screen; the one screen was broken and wouldn’t close properly - the entire ground floor is stairs and elevators. Reception desk is on the next flight up. Again just a bit odd.

It's a great location close to food and shopping, but it's also downtown so parking was a pain to find since the 2 spots supposedly for hotel checking were taken when we arrived. The property is old and quaint, but could definitely use some updating. The finish on the tub was peeling up, and a lot of wear and tear on finishes in the room. It seemed to be clean, and the bed was okay. If you're looking for a great location close to everything downtown, this is the place to be, just be prepared for worn carpets and don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room, but instead be out and about.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful. I felt good as soon as I arrived. The location is perfect. Right in the heart of the historic downtown area. Only a few blocks and from both the Empress Hotel and the Parliament building. You can see them as soon as you walk out of the hotel. It's also right next to the original Murchie's tea which was fun. The room was cute and clean. Not fancy but perfect for what I wanted. Beds were comfy. Air Conditioning worked great. Amazing value for the price. I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting a budget friendly motel with a perfect location. Thanks!

We stayed here to 2 nights, mid-week in July. The location is AMAZING for easy walkability downtown Victoria. The hotel is older, which is fine. We showered and slept there, that was it. Government Street is closed off (pedestrian only) from 12-10. So parking near the hotel to unload our suitcase was tricky, but we managed. It was frustrating actually. There are a lot of one way streets to maneuver. We managed to get close enough. We parked our car in the lot discounted by the hotel for 2 nights. We were able to walk everywhere else. We took the bus to Craigdarroch castle & back to Phillips Brewery, from there it was a short walk back to the hotel. The bus was easy to navigate with Google Maps, it came by every 15 minutes or so. The hotel is in a FANTASTIC location. The front desk of the hotel is on the 2nd floor. That was strange. There is no signage on the front door. That was also strange. You have to look up to read the awning. The women at the front desk was dry and hated her job. She got the job done, but we got zero smiles from her. The man at the front desk at check out was quite pleasant. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. It had a double shower, TV, AC, mini fridge. Everything we needed. The location and the price for that area were great. We would absolutely stay here again.
