"We had a wonderful time in Viksdalen with our extended family. We had everything that we needed or could want in the house. We loved the separate lakeside cabin but wished that we had discovered it sooner, rather than at then end of the holiday. If we could have changed anything it would be that the wonderful view wasn`t obscured by the owners roofline. It is very peaceful here and if you like solitude then this place has it in covered."

"The hosts are very friendly and responsive to be sure you have all you need for your stay. Ortnevik is beautiful and not to be missed. There is boating, hiking, fishing, biking,a wonderfully outdoor getaway."

"What a beautiful valley on the fjord! The cabin has a fantastic view out over Ortnevik to the Sognefjord. It really is stunning. We went on a couple of short hikes around the valley and totally enjoyed them. The cabin itself is comfortable with all the facilities you will need. There is a small store in Ortnevik where you can get groceries but be aware that it has limited opening hours so check with the host. "Very beautiful hotel with an amazing breakfast selection. Staff was very helpful. It was a little warm in the room so we had to open the window and the door to get a good ( cooler) breeze coming through. I understand they’ve been experiencing record temps. The hours of the restaurant were puzzling. It wasn’t open Friday for lunch, but was not on Monday. We ate dinner Friday night but it wasn’t open Sunday, so we found somewhere else to eat. Overall I would still give it 5/5 stars as a great place to stay in Forde. Very central as well to shopping and right next to the bus depot. "
