In the heart of Touraine, at the foot of the Château de Villandry, 4 * gîte and its park
Irene and Didier will welcome you with great pleasure at the Berdaquerie, located 300 meters from the Castle.
You will appreciate our gîte, open since July 2016, for its magnificent 1 hectare park with its garden furniture and its terrace, its living room of 50 m² where you can enjoy its fireplace, for its 3 spacious bedrooms, one of which is 40m² . But also for its ideal geographic location for visiting Touraine and its surroundings.
Everything is provided here for your relaxation and enjoyment.
It is in this spacious and comfortable environment that you can meet with family or friends, up to 8 people.
During your stay, you can visit the Loire castles, such as Azay le Rideau and Langeais
(10 minutes), Chambord, Chinon, Blois, Cheverny, Chenonceaux, and discover our prestigious vineyards of Chinon, Bourgueil, Vouvray.
You will be 1 hour from Beauval Zoo, ranked among the 10 most beautiful zoos in the world, also 1 hour from Futuroscope theme park, and 2 hours from Puy du Fou.
Also discover our magnificent heritage either by bicycle (classic or electric) or by canoe, and do not hesitate to get lost in our hiking trails, on foot or on horseback, and don't forget your swimsuit to relax at Lac d'Hommes (25 mins by car)!
Come stroll on the Place Plumereau in Tours, in the pedestrian streets with all its shops, visit the Center of Contemporary Creation Olivier Debré inaugurated in March 2017, or do your market on Sunday morning in Langeais.

Wonderful house, wonderful hosts.
We had a fabulous, relaxing week at the Berdaquerie in Villandry. The house has easy access to all that the Loire region offers, and is very comfortable to just sit and relax, something that was very important to us. Irene and Didier were the best! They were warm and gracious hosts, who helped us with reservations, and made sure our stay was comfortable,. Perfect!

Une halte sympathique près des châteaux de la Loire
Nous avons résidé 3 jours à la Berdaquerie, pour passer Noël en famille.
La maison est un ancien bâtiment agricole habilement transformé en gîte. Les surfaces des pièces sont généreuses, que ce soit pour la salle de séjour ou les chambres. Bien qu'étant 8 personnes, nous ne nous "marchions pas sur les pieds", même si le temps froid et brumeux nous a incités à rester douillettement près du feu à l'âtre et ne nous a pas permis de bénéficier des agréments du joli jardin ni des ressources touristiques proposées.
Maison bien équipée, convenant à une grande famille ou à deux couples avec enfants. Accueil très souriant et efficace d'Irène et Didier.

Lovely and comfortable farmhouse near several chateaux
What a lovely home in the Loire countryside! The photos do not do this property justice. The home is an old farmhouse that has been recently renovated and has a well-stocked kitchen, large kitchen and dining room, and three bedrooms, one of which has four single beds. There are two bathrooms with showers. Although it was warm while we were here (low 90s), the cross-breeze at night cooled the upstairs down for sleeping. Outdoors is a huge lawn with an old well, an old grainary, and a duck pond, as well as a table and chairs, grill, and ping pong table. The best feature is the owners, Irene and Didier, who were so welcoming and helpful, even lending clothes to one in our group whose suitcase never made it and inviting us over for drinks. The home is walking distance to Chateau Villandry with its amazing gardens, and to a delicious and highly rated farm-to-table restaurant. It is also within a 30 minute drive to a number of chateaux and charming Loire villages (e.g., Chinon, Azay le Rideau, Usse, Langeais, Abbaye de Fountevraud). We highly, highly recommend this lovely retreat!
