Beautiful barn with pool, in the heart of the Tarn countryside

La Merise is a two bedroomed converted barn, with one double, one twin, a kitchen, sitting room and dining area, and bathroom with walk-in shower. It has a private heated swimming pool, sun terrace and BBQ. There is WiFi, a TV and DVD player. Guests have the option of French satellite TV, English language programmes on Freesat. There is a washing machine and linen, towels and a welcome pack are provided, as well as cot and high chair if required. Situated in the quiet countryside but within walking distance of Villefranche d'Albigeois with all amenities including a small supermarket, boucherie, boulangerie and bars/restaurants. The beautiful Tarn valley is 10 minutes drive away, and the magical city of Albi, a UNESCO heritage site, is 20 minutes away. Castres, Cordes sur Ciel and Gaillac are all close by and Toulouse airport is just over an hour's drive. Visit the local markets, sample the local wines at the vineyards in Gaillac, explore Albi and the nearby towns, or just relax and soak up the sun around the pool.

We live in the house next to the gite. We do not use the pool when we have guests in the gite. There is a comprehensive information pack and we will do our best to answer any questions or suggestions on places to visit. We will be happy to do this over an apero!

The gite is very private and is not overlooked. Guests have the entire upper garden to themselves, and this area includes the pool.

There are no hidden charges. There is no charge for cleaning, heating, bedding and no deposit is required. Please ask for rates for long stays.

Le gite de Marcus et Pippa est un havre de paix dans la campagne tarnaise. tout confort et avec du charme. Des propriétaires très accueillants et plein d'attention. Idéalement situé pour faire de belles balades.

La Merise est un très bel endroit pour y passer un séjour agréable. Les propriétaires sont adorables tout en étant discrets. Ils ont fait de leur gîte un lieu où l'on se sent bien, au calme avec tout le confort et la beauté environnante et qui donne envie d'y revenir...

Fantastique !

C'est dans un cadre magnifique que nous avons passé une semaine superbe dans le gîte La Merise chez Pippa et Marcus, hôtes discrets et adorables. Nous avons eu un très bel accueil, l'endroit est très calme fort agréable pour des vacances reposantes, dans la nature avec une grande et belle piscine pour se rafraîchir. Les propriétaires sont de bons conseils, présents tout en étant discrets, merci à eux pour leurs touchantes attentions en arrivant. Le gîte est très bien agencé et accueillant. Ses hôtes et leurs adorables chiens Oscar, Roly et la chatte nous ont charmé et nous reviendrons très vite à La Merise qui nous manque déjà ! Merci à Pippa et Marcus pour avoir su rendre notre petite semaine si agréable !

Lovely gite and friendly owners

We stayed here for a few days with our two young children and had a lovely time. The location was great for visiting the whole area, with the gite itself positioned a short distance from the village in a secluded and quiet location. The facilities were ideal and the pool fantastic. Marcus and Pippa were very welcoming and friendly hosts. We would definitely come back.

The gite was lovly it was very well equipped and the owners where lovly and happy to sort any problems,the area around the gite was beautiful plenty of different things to do and see .
