Location

Vilobí d'Onyar, stands out for its infrastructures: Girona Airport, good communications with the main roads (motorway and county) and proximity to the Costa Brava, Girona and Barcelona.
It is located to the northeast of the pre-littoral depression, in the middle basin of the Onyar River that crosses the term from northeast to southeast. The forests of Vilobí are holm oaks, pines and cork oaks.

The highest point of the municipality is in the crater of the Crutch of Sant Dalmai, to the hermitage of San Lobo located to the crater of the volcano of the Crosa. The volcano of considerable dimensions, shared with the municipality of Bescanó, is currently a protected area within the Plan of Spaces of Natural Interest (PEIN). It is located on the fault that separates the Guilleries from the plain of the Selva.
