「My wife and I spent two nights with Andy & Pip at the lodge at the start of our New Zealand vacation. They were great hosts, picked us up at the ferry dock, helped guide us with local transportation options (take advantage of the bus system to the local wineries) and Pip provided a wonderful breakfast that was a highlight of our visit. 「Our stay at Wild Thyme was perfect, the apartment was modern, stylish and very clean. The view was stunning and we enjoyed sitting on the huge deck taking in the view. Bruce and Jules were fantastic to deal with and gave great advice and tips, we appreciated the pickup and drop off from the ferry terminal. Wild Thyme is one of the nicest apartments we’ve stayed at, all in all a 10 out of 10 experience, would defiantly recommend.」

「Avoid Waiheke Island Resort! Had a terrible experience where our room was completely not clean even when first checked-in! Dirty and unprepared, bedsheet unmade, towels all over toilet, used coffee cup in kitchen. Staff were unhelpful with insufficient follow-ups, even hanging up on us. They moved us to a worse room without the view we paid for to settle and couldn't reach them anymore to assist luggage up and down the stairs changing over rooms. No follow-up or proper apology, hair still spot...

「Unique place to stay. Close walk to the beach and restaurants. One detail guests should be advised of is the requirement to pre-book a ferry if they are travelling by car . We ended up having to change travel plans as we could not get off the island on the day we wanted to. Had we known that pre-booking was required we could have made sure prior to our arrival. 」
