Waimea Bay Beach Park

The room was decently clean. The bathroom was a bit too small and around the shower had some spots of mildew. I had to place my clothes on the other bed because the closet shelf was really dusty. The room in general okay. The staff were friendly and the location is super convenient to the beach.

This hotel is in a wonderful location, has beautiful gardens, nice staff, is a historic hotel, has a great Mai Tai Bar & has a beautiful beach. That said, “ historic” one might , at times, feel is synonymous with run down. This IS NOT an updated property. When it rains, the lobby floods. The paint on the walls looks like it is hiding decades of decay. To say the carpets are worn, is kind. Coffee is sold in the lobby starting at 6 AM & it stops at noon. The women at this stall work fast & are kind, & the coffee is good but the wait at 6:45 AM is at least 20 minutes… it’s even worse later! And the pool / beach situation is like fight club ( or the Jersey Shore on Fourth of July Weekend!!). Good luck finding a chair, a place in the sand, or a spot in the pool! The rocking chairs in the lobby are a highlight, so are the free pink water bottles ( you’ll need them to get free water). A fun experience but for the price, no way would I stay here again.

The staff are very friendly, it’s a nice hotel but is well over due for an upgrade. Room I booked was very spacious the terrace was the best just not the weather in which we tried to enjoy it in. Beds sheets were weird fitted wrong sizes, no comforter the foldout futon didn’t fold out and if you slept on it you woke up in pain. The bed I used was very old mattress probably should’ve been replaced a few years ago.. the air split on wall in bedroom over the tv leaked and my leather bag was soaked which also had my passport in it… the Hot tub and pool were GREAT again it wasn’t the best by far but I would also stay there again ???
