We booked here partially for the name -it implies a private quiet setting. Nothing could be further from the truth! Our room felt like it was 5 feet from a VERY busy road - loud traffic roaring by constantly. We booked knowing we would arrive late and would appreciate a restaurant/bar onsite to have a late supper and relax. We got a text at 2 pm on the day of arrival announcing the restaurant was going to be closed that night. Not happy. Then when we arrived (around 6) there was no one around - just a piece of paper stuck on the door with our name saying where to find our room and that the key was in the door! Anyone coming through the facility at any time could have entered that room and .... therefore we had no sense of privacy or cleanliness right from the start. The bed was so crammed in it was tight to the wall/window and no room for even a small bedside table anywhere. We pulled back the curtain and the blinds/curtain/window RIGHT BY THE BED were absolutely filthy! There were spiders everywhere! The sink and tub wouldn't drain properly, so you ended up with inches of water standing as you attempted to shower (YUK!) or brush your teeth (double YUK!). Breakfast was promised at 7:30. We were ready to get out of there, but stopped by for coffee and maybe a muffin - nothing was ready! So we didn't even get that. This place is very over priced and should be avoided at all costs! They promised a refund over 2 weeks ago, but to date we've received nothing!

Simple but sweet

Hyde Away Inn, though rustic and simple, was perfectly enjoyable. Accommodations were spare but comfortable and dinner and breakfast excellent. Staff were friendly, courteous and timely. Really a nice place if you don't need all the bells and whistles. The basics were just fine.

Jean was a marvelous hostess of this cozy quaint inn. Excellent communicator and very hospitable. Even did guests laundry upon request though we used laundromat 5 min down the road. Inn located about 5-10 min outside of town. Room was cozy and clean. Rates were reasonable in comparison to area lodging.

OK Unterkunft mit Restaurant

Netter Platz mit Restaurantbetrieb, allerdings nur sehr kleines Zimmer, welches auch noch mit zusätzlichen Stapelbetten vollgestellt war. Durch die Lage an eines befahrenen Straße war es sehr laut. Gutes Frühstück.
