Way above expectations

Beautiful location on the Wallkill River. Property was so clean and orderly. Owner provided an abundance of amenities-we were overwhelmed with what we found for our use (ice cream, coffee, popcorn, snacks, toiletries). This owner runs a top-notch rental property and goes above and beyond what is required..

Incredible Stay!

We stayed with our nine month old and another couple and had an amazing time! Jeff keeps the property pristine and thinks of your every want in advance: a full coffee bar, a beautiful fire pit that he preps for you, an immaculately landscaped riverside lawn, and tons of games for all ages. We would absolutely come back and stay again. We used it as a launch point for two day trips to Storm King Art Center, just 30 minutes away!

Amazing host (Jeff) that cares as much for his guests as his warm and welcoming home away from homes. You will be very comfortable and have a lot of in-home games and entertainment to pick from. We celebrated Thanksgiving this year in this home and enjoyed it immensely. We did some light cooking and found everything we needed to do that and serve the 6 of us for several meals over a few days. Great tea selection, variety of popcorn kernels for popping (we really wanted to do this but had too many Thanksgiving treats so we will try this out next time), s’mores station, very nice pellet stove and the list goes on. You will be impressed by this home and the owner/host. We will be back!

Excellent home and outstanding host

Jeffs home is a special place. It is comfortable and immaculate with thoughtful details designed to make your stay more pleasant in every direction you look. The outdoor space is particularly nice with peaceful river views and wildlife in the distance. Our children especially loved the fire pit and s’mores station. The adults loved the comfortable furniture and nice kitchen. Jeff also is a gem of a host. Gracious while also giving guests their privacy.

My first VRBO stay and it was the most gorgeous property ! Picture don’t do it justice! The home is stunning and owner didn’t miss a beat ! We had everything we could have imagine ! Fantastic! I can’t wait to stay there again !

Jeff was amazing, if there was anything we needed he was always willing, the problem was that we never needed anything because everything you can think of was in the house. Would definitely go back.

We went up for a wedding which took up a lot of our time, but could not have asked for better accommodations! There was not thing Jeff missed as far as thoughtful accommodations are concerned. What a terrific place. I'm excited to visit again. Between the beautiful surroundings and the thought put in to his hosting, I would love to go back. So much to do there too!

Great spot for our stay.

Jeff and Priscilla have a lovely place in Wallkill. Riverfront property with plenty of off street parking. The bedrooms were great. My teenager had his own space on 3rd floor with two twin beds, it was perfect. Cute decorations adorn the kitchen which had everything we needed for coffee in the morning. The living are is large and comfortable on the first floor adjacent to the kitchen. I’d stay here again for sure. Thanks for a nice stay!!

Jeff is a great host! Place was immaculate and well equipped. He went above and beyond to make sure we have everything that we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Close distance to Walkhill Bethel which was the purpose of our visit. We will definitely return! Excellent.

Definitely recommend.

Clean. Spacious. Well maintained. Wonderful host. Stocked with everything you could need and more!! Great outdoor areas.Would have loved more time to just be there and enjoy it all.Just FYI…Although not a problem for us, no handrails on steps from living room to dining/kitchen and all bedrooms upstairs could possibly be an issue for more mature adults with mobility restraints.

Wallkill river house

I can’t say enough good things about this rental. Great location with wonderful river views. The house was very clean and well appointed. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Beyond the amenities listed the owner made a wonderful Sunday breakfast for us and even made special pancakes for my two year old granddaughter. The house has a great firepit and we were provided a smores making kit as well for that. The house was very comfortable and easily accommodated my family of six adults and a two year old. I would definitely recommend this home for someone traveling to the area and I’m sure our family will be back again as well.

Wallkill guest house

I can’t say enough good things about this property and it’s owner. The house was very clean and comfortable offering plenty of space for the seven of us. The owner took great care to insure that the kitchen was fully stocked with anything we would need and then some. Going as far as to have a popcorn making station, coffee and tea station, and snack station. He left us a smores making kit to enjoy at the awesome firepit in the back yard which gently rolls down to the Wallkill river. Very peaceful! The house had great wifi and tvs with Roku. Great location! The owner Jeff went above and beyond to insure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. He went as far as making us a wonderful breakfast on Sunday morning to include french toast casserole, breakfast sausage, fresh fruit, orange juice and for my two year old granddaughter, special little pancakes. I highly recommend this Wallkill guest home and we’ll definitely be back.

BEST PLACE AND HOST EVER!!!

Ok I don’t even know where to begin. This place was absolutely above and beyond amazing and Jeff definitely deserves host of the year award, if there was such a thing. It was very clean, with all the amenities you could imagine. He even have Bath & Body products which was a BIG plus for me cause that’s all I use. The dishes, the beddings, the decor, the furniture were all top of the line. And OMG, the back yard is to die for. It has a river that is so serene, back yard furniture and games to relax and enjoy the family. He fixes a delicious breakfast for guest on Sunday but was so kind to fix ours on Saturday instead since we had to leave out so early Sunday morning. We left some valuable items and didn’t have time to come back to get them. Jeff even went out his way to ship those items to us the next day. I can really go on and on about this place but you would have to book it to really get the experience because it’s way more than the pic’s display. I will say it is an hour away from Manhattan but it is worth the drive or you can just jump on the train. So if you’re visiting New York look no further, this is the place to book. Side note: He did not have an iron in the place but he has a steam iron that worked just as good.

Incredible stay - the best home I've stayed in, hands down!

Wow, I'm not sure where to start on this. This was such a special place and a fantastic find. We were nervous since we booked when it had no reviews, but it was worth the risk! We were visiting the Watchtower/Bethel facilities as they recently opened. Here is what we experienced: * Location: Perfectly located near Watchtower/Wallkill (11 min), we were able to have some come to visit us and were able to visit multiple times conveniently. Warwick is about 55 minutes, and Patterson is about 50 minutes. * Condition: Perfect. Newly renovated, yet at the same time, very comfortable. We immediately felt at home. There was plenty of room, and so comfortable with several tables, couches, and chairs. The personal touches everywhere make it clear that the host cares about your stay and isn't just trying to make a quick buck. * Sleeping: Also impressive. We come from the city, so the quietness was wonderful. In addition, my wife and I are considering getting the same beds for our house. So comfortable! * Utilities: Showers were hot, water pressure was abundant, and everything worked great. There is even a TV in one of the bathrooms, which was a first for us :) * This place was stocked! Popcorn "bar" (which had 6-8 flavors of popcorn and many toppings), an entire wall shelf of coffee flavors with an easy-to-use coffee maker, snacks were everywhere, and as someone who loves to cook, the kitchen had everything we needed and more! The bathrooms were also well stocked. * The outside: Wow. Multiple firepits, a peaceful river, and so much room! While there, we saw many species of birds and deer walking right through as we had a smokeless fire in the high-quality pit! At night, the tasteful multi-colored lights made the place look amazing and even more picture worthy. While we had a busy schedule, we each took a few minutes just sitting and looking out over the river. Parking was easy as well. * The host: We were nervous since this duplex has the owner right next door. But Jeff was excellent. He made sure everything was *perfect* and was not invasive. Again, you could tell he cared and was excited to have visitors. Would we stay there again? A hundred times, YES! As someone who has stayed in dozens of homes over the years, this house is the bar I will set all others against. This was just an incredible week -- thank you, Jeff!

Best place ever

Visiting our son who lives at Walkill bethel complex. Location is 10 minutes from the branch. He was able to stay with us and had an easy commute to work. Jeff the host was outstanding. Bent over backwards to provide anything we might need. I have a bad back and have difficulty in different beds, however the mattresses here are wonderful and I slept great. The house is well stocked with necessities and lots of extras. Never have we had such extras. I only rated 5 stars because I can’t rate any higher. I will stay here every time I travel to New York. Lots of room inside and outside of the house.

Amazing!!!

This home and host were both amazing! The house had everything we needed and things we didn’t know we wanted! Coffee bar, popcorn bar and lots of outside games! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!!!
