This is a lovely house in a beautiful, peaceful part of the country. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we appreciated the ceiling fan (especially because the air conditioner is very loud), but the floors throughout the living areas are quite creaky which was noticeable in the morning since one us us sleeps in longer than the other. It would have been good to have more time to enjoy the surrounds, but I did love listening to and watching the birds in the garden and next door vineyard on our one morning there. Unfortunately I hadn't noticed on the house listing that there as no internet connection available (a pity for us young people who come to expect it), and this became a further issue since we had no mobile phone reception anywhere within 20 minutes drive from the house (with Vodafone). Mercifully my phone allowed me to access the email with the key lock code on it when we arrived at the house, but we had to drive quite a way to access our online maps to find our way back home. Since there was no phone at the house we felt slightly unsafe without any way to contact the outside world if it had been necessary (which it wasn't). One of the aspects that drew me to the house listing was the bath, but there was a sign in the bathroom requesting that only short showers be taken since there is only tank water at the house so I didn't feel like I could have a bath after all. I'm glad to have been able to stay at this lovely house, but there were a few things that weren't quite what I expected and I would have appreciated if they were made clear in the listing (such as the request to limit the use of tank water and the lack of phone reception).
