The lady that “welcomed” us at the reception was pretty unfriendly; the hotel was really rundown (starts with a dirty carpet when you walk inside from the parking lot, the balcony floor was horrible condition). And worst: the checkout time ist 10:00h am!!!! The same time the pool opens - I can't imagine any worse customer...

"Die kommunikationsfreudige Gastgeberin war immer zur Stelle. Der Lattenrost des einen Bettes hat jede Drehung kommentiert. Ansonsten war es nachts erfreulich ruhig.Wir konnten gemütlich auf der Terrasse hinter dem Haus frühstücken. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit Herd, Backofen und Micro. Bei der Wärme haben wir es sehr genossen, draußen zu sitzen.Weimar war unser eigentliches Ziel, eine 30 min. Fahrt bringt einen ans Ziel.Im Sommer gerne wieder! Vielen Dank."

"Schöne, große Wohnung und ruhig gelegen. Sehr freundliche Vermieter. In der Umgebung gibt es viele Möglichkeiten zum Wandern, Rad- oder Kanufahren. Arche Nebra (Himmelsscheibe), Schloss Zingst, Schloss Neuenburg in Freyburg Sektkellerei Rotkäppchen, Burg Querfurt, Dom Naumburg und Kloster Memleben sind einige Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung."

"This hotel gets very mixed reviews, which seem to me to reflect guests' differing expectations. The good points. The people who run it are incredibly nice and very helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Rooms are a bit tired and old, but nobody should be surprised by that. They are spotlessly clean, very quiet, and surprisingly cool during the heatwave in June 2026. The hotel is very convenient for the Goethe Theatre. The not so good points. You have to phone them to unlock the door and check you in if you arrive in the evening, which isn't ideal. My (foreign) mobile phone had trouble getting a signal, but turn it off and on again and all was fine. And someone arrived within five minutes. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and no iron. I didn't need to ask for any of these and I don't know whether they would be available if anyone asked for them. All the negative comments about the car park are true. It is incredibly tight for modern cars. Even a normal sized car, like a VW Golf, can get blocked in if someone with another normal size car parks next to it. You certainly couldn't get anything much bigger in there. I would certainly stay here again if I return to the theatre at Bad Lauchstadt, but I'd also make sure that I parked the car somewhere else and walked to the hotel."
