The staff was excellent. My room I would rate below average. It had a damp basement smell that actually lingered in my clothing. The mattress and pillows were terrible thus my 2 star rating.

The hotel was great. Location is excellent- just across the road from the metro. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were excellent. Hotel is a little dated but doesn't take from its charm. Bar is very good. If I ever return to Washington it will be to the Kimpton Monaco.
