We loved the trains! The property was right next to the tracks so we could see a little bit of them through the trees and feel the rumble when they passed by. If you're not good with a little noise and rumbling at night, not the place for you. The only problems we had were that the spices and things in the cabinet next to the stove were dirty, the shower didn't get fully warm (it would be warm, then cold, then warm), and the bathroom light would almost always flicker. On rare occasions, it would completely turn off and not turn back on for a while even when the switch was flipped off and on again. There were a few spiders, but I'm not sure I can entirely blame that on the property, as we are in Washington. The house was a little uneven in places, so if you have poor balance, be aware. Basic amenities, stove worked well, nice tea kettle, plenty of books, and the bed was firm and comfy (a little bouncy) with plenty of blankets. The dining table was a little small, and I think it would benefit with a coffee table in front of the 2 couches. The temperature control for the house was fantastic. We were here in winter and the heat worked well, but we turned on the A/C to see and it cooled the room so quick! The location of the property is perfect; very quiet (besides the trains), not directly on a main road, but close enough to one to get to attractions and restaurants quickly, and parking is right in front of the house. Beautiful parks nearby with great fishing! We had a great time
