Romantic Black Forest house, enchanted garden, half-timbered town of Schiltach

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful property with good amenities- nothing lacking. The house was tightly enclosed by a garden which made the property secluded, although it looked as though an estate had been built around it. It was only a 4 minute walk through this estate into the woods which gave scope for long walks albeit not at all flat. Schiltach village centre full of museums and old timber framed houses was 15 minutes walk directly or as long as you wanted along the many tracks and paths through the beautiful woods. So several days we did not use a car at all. Our longer trips were to Triberg to look at, and buy, a cuckoo clock - the “largest cuckoo clock in the world “ is disappointing and the clock museum was closed. We also recommend the Glass blowers at Wolfach and the open air museum nearby. Overall, a fantastic week and strongly to be recommended."

"Na een paar belletjes nabij aankomst (mailtje met incheckprocedure was niet aangekomen of verloren geraakt) heerlijk verbleven in het huis. Uitgelopen werkzaamheden maakten dat we een paar dagen een aantal uren werkmannen bij het huis hadden. Daar zullen andere vakantiegangers geen last meer van hebben, want nu zijn ze klaar. Heel goed contact met de eigenaresse hierover, die er ook stevig van baalde omdat de werkzaamheden al klaar zouden zijn voor wij zouden arriveren. Huisje heeft een zeer complete keuken, twee fijne terrassen én een tafeltennistafel! Je merkt dat dit huis van fijne mensen is. De beestjes die in de nacht over het dak trippelen maken het een echte natuur beleving. Voor wandelingen moet je een klein stukje met de auto, maar zeer mooie wandelingen in de omgeving!"

"Ich war mit einer Freundin übers Wochenende für zwei Nächte hier und wir sind beide nach wie vor begeistert.Johanna hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und alles gezeigt. Man sieht in all den vielen kleinen Details, wie viel Liebe in dieses Tiny Home gesteckt wurde. Für mich war auch einfach schön zu merken, wie sehr man versucht hat dabei auf möglichst auf Umweltverträglichkeit zu achten.Das Highlight bleibt aber definitiv der Hot Tub mit der großartigen Aussicht.Die Lage ist für Menschen die wandern wollen optimal - man verlässt das Grundstück und ist schon auf den gut ausgeschilderten Routen.Wer einen Ort zum Entspannen und Resetten sucht, dem würde ich diesen wundervollen Ort wärmstens empfehlen!"
