The quiet cottage on a large lot for privacy

Escape the stresses of everyday life when you book this beautiful waterfront cottage. Located just 4.3 miles outside of Wautoma, this very private, quiet, setting on beautiful White River Millpond will have you relaxing in no time.
In the summer enjoy the clear, sandy bottom of the lake. The no wake 60 acre lake is great for fishing, kayaking, or just relaxing.
It is also so beautiful in the winter, you can see that by the pictures. Enjoy ice fishing., walking around the lake. Have fun at Nordic Mountain just a short drive away, skiing or tubing down the hills.
The property is furnished, all towels, bedding and dishes are provided. Additionally, renters will have access to the dock, a gas grill, and fire pit, use of a 4 kayaks. There is a small collection of board games, movies and a Blu-ray player for your entertainment.
Drive into Wautoma for some eating pleasure. Several great dinner options, Silvercryst Supper Club, Christiano’s Italian Restaurant or the Moose Inn, or dessert at Milty Wilty or Dairy Queen.
Wautoma offers two challenging golf courses, Nordic Mountain offers bike trails in the summer and ski trails in the winter. Many other recreational opportunities are available.

This is a beautiful property on a quiet, no wake lake with beautiful views! Fun with kayaks, paddle boat and the sandy, wading area was great for the grandkids!

Cottage

Spent the weekend here for my daughter’s wedding located nearby in Coloma. The cottage was amazing and so clean! Very nice and quiet location. We wish we could have spent more time there but the wedding kept us pretty busy. Will definitely be back when we can enjoy it more!

Quick getaway

Fabulous stay. House was cute and charming. Went to the ski hill and had a blast! Short drive back home to relax by the fire and ring in the new year. I bet summer on the lake would be fantastic, hope to return.

The perfect lake getaway!

We had such an amazing stay at Beth’s property. Her communications were clear and concise, everything was easy to find and accessible to use, and the lake was beautiful. We spent a lot of time on the dock, kayaking, fishing, and sitting by the fire. The three bedrooms and bathroom were all very clean and well-maintained, and the living room and kitchen were a great size for preparing meals and hanging out. Lots of fun things to do, and Wautoma is a short drive away for any needs not already met by Beth and her home! We will definitely visit again!

Family chill

My boys and I stayed for the weekend to get away and relax. The cabin is great, my boys loved it. We spent time outside on the ice fishing and the neighbours are great. The fireplace was awsome bonis warming up after getting back inside. The view from the is nice and i can only imagine how nice it will be in the summer. The cabin was everything we could ask for, super clean and cosy. We will come back in the summer.

Loved this quiet house on a lovely lake

We had such a lovely week at this property. The house was comfortable with a nice kitchen, cozy living room, and great views of the lake. We spent many hours relaxing on the patio watching the birds and made ample use of the kayaks. The lake was quiet and calm, with minimal boat traffic and no wakes. Paddling in the evening was magical - we watched bald eagles and osprey fishing and identified over a dozen different kinds of birds. Loved the views of the sunset from the bench on the pier, and really appreciated the tip from the host on pizza delivery from a local restaurant. (We worked up an appetite with all that paddling). All around we had a great stay.

Cute place

The house is small, but nice. The kitchen is well-stocked. One of the AC units looked to have mold throughout so we were afraid to turn it on, but the ceiling fan helped keep it cool. Something that was a change from the many other home rentals that we've stayed at is that there were multiple pages of rules and cleaning duties to complete prior to check out. It left a pretty un-homey feeling in what otherwise would have been a pretty cozy place.

For those not about to camp

We were thrilled to find this place so close to Camp Phillip, where our kids attend each year. It’s just a three-minute drive, making it super convenient to drop off and pick up our day camper and return for the entertaining campfires in the evening. We were especially grateful for not having to rough it ourselves as we had quite a lot of rain. The master bedroom is a nice size. The two other rooms are small but worked just fine for our kids. The bathroom has a fairly tight shower, no bathtub (which was fine for our half-week stay). We appreciated the full kitchen, with reverse osmosis drinking water faucet and garbage disposal. The days we stayed were cooler, so the two window AC units weren’t cranking constantly, but they seemed to do a sufficient job when needed. We made some use of the Roku and one of the several games provided and enjoyed the view toward the lake and the bird activity. Visitors on warmer, dryer days can use the peddle boat, kayaks, and fire pit. I recommend this place for staying in the Wautoma area!
