The listing said that pets would love the fenced in yard. We found the yard full of cacti with inch long spikes but not before our dogs found them. We spent the first bit after our arrival pulling spikes from our dogs’ paws, legs, and bellies. There was only a tiny swath of grass on the other side of the drive to take them to potty. The rental company did allow us to use the yard of their vacant rental next door. This listing should be updated as the fenced yard was not suitable for pets. The paddle boat was inoperable due to a missing rudder. The propane tank for the gas grill was empty (we swapped it out and left the full tank there). The kitchen outlets on the stove side don’t work. We ended up buying a coffee maker thinking the one at the house was broken before we realized the issue was the outlets. The couches needed a good cleaning as well as the carpet. The cooking pans are in dire need of replacing. One of the beds had a broken support and slanted toward the floor. Small details like no batteries in the remote, only a single ping pong ball and it was cracked, trash and crumbs left in bedrooms. On the upside, the master bathroom was super clean, the rooms were spacious and the pond was neat. This house has lots of potential to be a rental we would come back to. Unfortunately, we will not be renting this home again in the future.
